I will try to sale them soo but at a very low price and at our dive shop lol ! I have been handing out test candles to all my friends like candy and they love them but baby steps . I am happy with the waxes I am testing right now and will keep using them for now and maybe just keep testing to see what affects the throw . Going to go search for that one post you mentioned about scents in the 464 . No worries this is exciting to me to have found a blog where people share my love for this hobby ( still just a fun hobby to me ) I love it ! Thank You so much for your opinion ?

I just noticed tha Aztec sales 5lb sample packages of wax ! I thought that was pretty cool !

Do you guys get a good hot throw ? I did not I put in fo at a low temp maybe 160! I think I will try again at 180 see if it changes the throw ?

I am so excited to learn !i am very familiar with the candle science site and have gone over all that videos inc it is what you can't learn from videos or I between the words of the books i.e. Experience which you guys have. Yay ! I will lookup those sections and search points you suggested . I am still testing those wax's I mentioned still got about 15 pounds to go . I think you might be right about the wicks though it is possible it could be one of the issues with the pit by the wick thing . I am going to order some new FO's and wicks and alittle vybar see what that gets me . Off to do more research ,

Well not an expert but it is a sterilized type of water ! I would think if you wanted to use it you might want to get an ionizer, Feel free to correct me bu t I believe it is sterilized with like ultraviolet ?

Hi everyone Thank you for the props ! WaxOn Iwas trying for alittle darker, I am so sing the sample pack of color chips from candle science and just chipped off a corner of the orange brown color . Because Ian m trying to figure out what recipe works for us I have been doing test batches around 1 lb ea . One thing I noticed when I did this pour is I had alittle wax left over and went to pour it in a jar because I did not need to top it off this time and I had to use alittle bit bigger wick as I ran out of the small ones and well this happened now I am thinking wick size might be a part of it to

Test pour Apple harvest / cinnamon stick yum! Color not what I expected but smells awesome! so far no pitting around the wick harmony blend 4630 waited till around 130 degrees to pour hoping to avoid the pit around the wick we had BIG time last pour poured around 3 hrs ago

Hi Wax on thank you for your post ! Right now I have golden brand 464 soy wax and IGI Harmony blend 4630 from candle science scents are from there as well both wax blends say they can hold up to a12% load the p wax is very soft and will pit around the wick alittle I just save alittle to top it off and the soy does not pit gets some wired dipping on they top when you burn but for me it's all about th sent . The soy had an awesome cold throw but not so much when lit the par has a overall pretty good when cold and ok lit { this is the wax where my wicks were to big was throwing black smoke } going to try smaller wicks with this one next if the throw still weak I might try an additive or a diff wax ! Hi my name is Kim and I am new . My daughter and I have been making candles for about 6 mo we live in Florida so it is hot and humid ( really soft wax can be gooey ) I am looking for input on the types of wax with the best sent throw we have tried soy and Parafin ! What wads do you all recommend and why ! What about fragrances where do you get your favorites right now we are using candle science and they are fine I just don't know which ones to buy ! Lol I found out the hard way wicks matter I just picked one and it was huge when we got it and threw black smoke so I am investigating alittle before my next purchase ?
