Jelly Donut, Green Apple, Honey Apple - all have little to no throw

Clove - decent mixer, not the best clove I've had, but it'll do for my needs

Tabac & Leather - I did like this one, decent HT, probably won't sell worth a flip but I do like it

Pink Berry Mimosa - one dimensional, generic berry scent, probably won't use.  My daughter picked this one.
Lemongrass something or other - very light. Doesn't stick in CP, too light even for a room spray
Caribbean Coconut - weak, not much coconut

I've had good luck with most of the scents I've purchased from Flaming.  It's crazy how it happens like that.

I agree on Flamings ,I also have great luck with their oils in my Paraffin blend ,along with Aztec ,C source & Candlewic. I do have good throw with maybe half from WSP .Lol the Jelly donut is awsome in my wax blend for melt. I have not made any candles as of yet .

It is funny how most scents perform differently for all of us .

Just an FYI, I got Cozy Flannel form WSP, I'm not sure it was meant to be a dupe or not, the notes are different. (Tonka, patchouli other stuff?) It sounded ok to me, but, I'm not too crazy about it.  I did like the BBW candle and was hoping it would be close.  Not for me.

@katmeltswax@GailC did either of you try the Gee your hair or Herbal Essence FOs?  I have both and not I'm not quite sure if they're really like the originals..They both remind me of.. something.

I could use some 2nd and 3rd opinions.  The 70s were a long time ago ;)

I had this one & many more in my cart , intending to purchase. Thus was a while back & my bank account was hacked twice thru Aztec ,so never did get around to ordering . It sounds like maybe I was better off lol.The reviews I see here on GYHST ,do not sound very good . I was so upset at the time over the hacking ,I did not but anything until a month later .

Maybe I saved myself from adding another supplier I do not need right .Sorry I could not be any help.

I literally just ordered this bc I've had requests for it. Got it at NI. Never ordered there before so I can't say how it compares or if their oils are any good. Reviews on this company in some groups are not good but I took a chance. LOL

    https://www.naturesitems.com/flannel-bbw-type/

I have a cart waiting to fulfill my order with this co. I am waiting for many to get back in stock. The Flannel scent is in my cart .

Hope the oils work out for you .

I am going to try them as well ,let's hope they are good quality .

The BBW Flannel  scent is super popular & I want to find a good one soon for Fall season .

It's not my favorite ,however many do love the scent .I try to have a variety for everyone kwim 😉

I have never ordered from that company before. I just placed my order for cierra, but im still looking for a few more to add lol

I have not tried BA oils.

I received the email & have been wanting to try them since I started my wax adventure a few years ago I have read  some good reviews on their site . I have only tried a few from Cierra .If I recall correctly I liked their Cranberry Woods & Pineapple uoside  down cake oil.

I know Gail here loves Cierras Blueberry cobbler & more .

Maybe she will see this & give you some recommendations.

Are you going to try any from Bulkapothecary ?

First let me say I am not an expert in marketing; but I have read a few books because the subject interest me. I’ve also been thinking about marketing candles, so I will share my thoughts, please take them with a grain of salt. My first thought is association is a great tool for selling candles. By that I mean if the name you give a fragrance has some association to a pleasant memory, or experience for your customer they are much more likely to buy it. For example Fresh Linen might sell better as clean sheets because everybody knows and loves clean sheets. If you can pick names that may connect to a good memory your customers have they will buy more candles. So, if you are in an area where people pick their own apples then Fresh Picked Apples will sell better than Green Apples. For a Christmas scent Christmas Morning would be a good name. Another way is to use names that create curiosity and a mood of anticipation. Dragon Blood, or Volcano are examples of this. People have strong associations with colors, but I have no knowledge of what they are so keeping records and experimenting is the best advice I could offer. You might try making the same candle in multiple colors and see which one sells first.

As soon as I finish my current book on the Persian Empire, I may listen to the books on marketing that I have, or find a new book that has some good point of sale information. If I do I’ll report back on what I learn.

I totally agree ,names certainly make a difference . I can name any apple scent during the winter Holly Jolly Apples ,this increases sales  more than the plain Macintosh Apple kwim....I do this often with many scents, during all the seasons  . If I have a scent that is not moving ,I rename it with a unique name ,until it gains popularity , if not I change the name again lol.

I agree colors attract buyers as well.

I like the name Flannel & want to order this one  b/c of it's name .

I think it sounds so cozy for the fall/winter season . I have never actually tried the scent & will be ordering soon . The name is what attracted my attention to want to try it .

If anyone knows of a good Flannel scent  ,please lmk. Thanks in advance ☺️

Odd about the Butt Naked, when I made it in incense, they all bought it. LOL! I don't like the name, either, but many bought it just because of the name. Odd, huh? Same thing happened with "Lick Me All Over". Go figure.

Lol I have gotten some rude comments when I tried the original names of some of these scents ,this is the reason I changed  them.

Some people do not have a sense of humor kwim.

It is strange how some will buy the scent for the name & others get offended really lol...I definitely had to change the lush scent sex bomb to Sexy Bomb lol.

I remember i did a fundraiser for a local church. I was setting everything up and a lady came by just sniifing away. She picked one up and smelled it then read the name and said "OOOHHH HONEY that name!" she got all of them that i had.  It was the pastors wife and it was lick me all over lol

Lol I named Lick me all over

Bomb Diggity. This is slang for awesome ,great ,good . It actually sells very well with this name . I have also called it Candy Kiss ,works for me . It is such a great scent .
