Before i had my spinal surgery i had ordered a case of ez soy from bc and a bag of glass glow palm from cs.

I will not make candles with it so i come to ask yall what should i make?

Ive been thinking on making tarts. 100 lbs of wax sure would make a ton of those

Do you like making wax chunks ? I am not familiar with soy or palm ,if the wax is soft enough ,you could certainly make alot of chunks .

I have some palm to play with ,waiting for time to experiment a bit with candle making . I love the look of palm candles . If you do not want to make candles ,tarts or chunks will be the solution .

Kat, I ordered a pound of VBN from Fragrance Buddy and made a few candles for testing.   I do need a VBN for my accounts and the one from WSP is way too expensive to figure into my costs of my candles for the accounts.   I will let you know in 2 weeks how FR. Buddy's is.   But it sure smells wonderful!

    I'm also retesting Flamings VBN.

I'm waiting for the day that hopefully Candle Science comes out with a VBN as their oils I Iove.

    Trappeur

I hope FB oil works out for you .

I just now saw & read a topic a member posted under weekly sales about a month ago ,regarding a supplier called Essentials by Catalina ,well guess what lol ,I just had to go check them out ,being the oil Aholic I am.

Guess what they have the VBN for $26 a lb ,think that's the correct price i remember from this morning .

This company has so many scents I would love to test ,go figure right .

The issue is the price $3.75 per oz

What a price tag ,so I am thinking these must be extra Concentrated superior quality oils idk ,just thinking kwim.

The lb bottles range around  $26 average ,unless it is a surplus scent .The surplus oils are around  $20-25 a lb. It is a High price to pay for samples ,however I am really wanting to try out a handful just see if these are super great quality .

I am hoping the oils are really strong & only require 1/2oz per lb.

The VBN will be the first one to go into my cart . I see a similar scent to PPW called Pumkin Maple Pancakes ,same as PPW dupe of  BBW scent . May be slightly different idk. I sure am curious as to what this one smells like against PPW .

They also have Apple Pumpkin Pancakes a BBW dupe ,soooo many to choose from . I can always just order about 5 scents

& see what happens ,without breaking my bank account lol.

This company has my interest enough to try a few samples.

I will not be out to much ,if I just stick to about 5 samples.

Lol I think it is the High price that has me curious as to the quality of the oils .

I will let you know if I order & send you a VBN sample to test as well ,may be worth a try .

I did not get to the shipping cost yet , shall find out soon .

Keep me posted on your FB vbn test.

Trapp you love CS as much as I love Candlewic right .I know ship is really high & detours you from CW

    Thanks always!

No, the one that i got i did not like lol,but their bases are pretty good.

If you don't mind me asking ,Which scent did you order & what was the issue ? Just may have been a scent you were expecting to smell a bit different perhaps??? How was the quality rateing ? Great ,Good ,Fair in your opinion?

Sorry to pester you ,lol I am a fragrance oil  Aholic lol.

I see so many I want from this company ,however the price is a bit expensive for samples & do not want to jump in on lb bottles until I test some kwim.Thank you so very much 😉

Thinking they must be very concentrated & can get by with 1/2 per lb. Just maybe my brain working overtime ,very pricey oils ,most pound bottles are $26 & up .

Wow the oils are SUPER Expensive. I would think they must must be superior quality right . A sample bottle is $3.75 per oz .

Lol I do see soooo many I would like to test in my wax . Not many reviews on all the scents ,however the ones with reviews are super good comments . I may give 10 samples a try & see what happens ,shipping will be $21 UPS to Tx ,woo pricey .

What I've noticed with WSP is that once a scent becomes popular they jack the price up to where it's no longer affordable.    Their Raspberry Lemonade  was really reasonable when I first started purchasing it.  Now it's gone up way too much even on sale (43.00).  I'm just going to drop it from my line.  Same with VBN.

I know exactly what you mean ,prices for many are super expensive ,also  free ship still has  handling charges .

I do have a hand full I do not want to go without ,so I grab these during sales when I can .

I never pay full price for any of the oils . I continue to watch for flash sales & other sales thru out the year.

I do recall getting a 35% discount in the past on all fragrances ,I was told they said that they never had a 35% off sale .

This had to have come from a newer employee at WSP bc other members & myself  have received this discount in the past .

The sale is usually around the end of November & the beginning of each New Year.

I found replacements for many I have used & liked . The VBN is one I wrote off . I do use Jelly Donut & this one is a bit cheaper than VBN .

I am in search of a VBN ,if know of a good one lmk .Thanks I'm advance .

Lol you have me wanting to try their Raspberry lemonade , however I use Candlesource Pink lemonade ,super strong & way way cheaper. It to is a raspberry ade .

I think some scents are just not worth the High price in the long run ,always other suppliers with great oils kwim.

I’m getting ready to bake some tomorrow. What is the best temperature and time to bake them for?

I bake at 375 for 8-12 minutes , depending on the size of the cutters.

I have  some cutters that are larger size ,so these do take a bit longer

I also have started filling my cutters to the very top ,makes the ornies thicker.

I noticed they shrink down quite a bit after cooling ,so I try to make them on the thicker side .

    What another sale?...ugh. :)

I haven't purchased directly from lonestar before, but I got some pumpkin pie spice from another chandler and I really like it.

Yes another .99 sale ,seems it is not going to end here lately.

I will get the Pumpkin spice for sure . I also have Spooky Punch in my cart ,lol along with wayyyy to many others  .

I definitely want to try their BD cake ,so many comment on how great this scent is . I will make my final 20 selections this evening ,sale goes until Sept 18th .

I just cannot resist this sale ,being they are in Tx I should have already tried LS oils .😉

I always loved LS Hawaiian breeze, not even sure if they still make it.  Hollyberry, carmel apple, sleighbells was good too. I believe they did discontinue that one ☹️

Thank you ,I did see Hawaiian breeze ,with great reviews .I definitely added this one to my cart . I did not see Hollyberry or Sleigh bells ,will go back and check. I see Dickens Christmas has great reviews .

I want to try Spooky Punch for Halloween, sounds interesting .

I need to narrow my selections down to about 20 ,lol I have way to many already in my cart .It's hard to resist at .99 a sample kwim.

I have to get their B Day cake ,have heard so many great reviews on this one .

Raspberry Violet sounds unique ,I love to blend fruity/ florals & never heard if this combination . I live in Texas & never ordered from this company ,I look forward to trying their oils .

    Thank you bunches !

Oh yeah! It was definitely the temperature and how fast it was cooling. I *wanted* to add the fragrance higher, but it was such a small amount of wax that it cooled so quickly before I could even add the fragrance. I'm doing it in my double boiler now so I can keep the temperature up while I add the fragrance. I also added a bit more fragrance lol just to see what happened. I made some blueberry cheesecake ones yesterday, and my husband decided to test them after like 3hrs and they filled my whole house. 😍

Yes adding at high temp will do the trick . I think eventually you would love a presto pot with a spiget to drain the melted  wax into you pour pot ,such a breeze when making melts ,verses stove top melting . You can get these on Amazon or ebay for around $50 to $75 .

Keep pouring & have fun while doing so 😉

Yes aren't these beads Wonderful !I love the pp4f beads & performance is great . Lol I actually get tired of the scent before it loses its scent . Absolutely the best I have ever used ,price is great as well +Free shipping is a added bonus 😀

Yeah it's 100% paraffin, even my distributor said I should only need a 24hr cure. Here I'll post a picture so you can see what I found. These are completely hardened and solid, but you can see liquid. That is all fragrance that did not get mixed into any of the rest of my wax.

I really love your pumpkin mold ,us this silicone ? I want one lol..

  14. I agree 100% with Belinda ,adding the oil at 180-190 is the solution, this allows the oil to bind well to your wax . I notice with all vanillas it is a definite must b/c vanillas are heavy & stubborn .

If you dont mind me asking where do you purchase your wax ? I think you will get a great melt if you add the oil at a much higher temperature . I hope all improves for you . 😉

That is a good sale, but I'm really getting spent on time looking for oils and money gone out for them with all these sales and just regular buying, so I'm not even going to get in on this sale.   And to be quite honest,  their oils have not impressed me at all with all the ones I've bought and no scent throw.   It's very discouraging and by the time I buy them with their sale price, I can get wonderful oils if not nicer oils at Flaming, CS, Fragrance Buddy, and Lonestar and actually cheaper.    So I'm not even going to feel bad about not ordering from them.   The only oil that I have to get from them that is my personal favorite is VBN as it truly is a bomb.   And VBN at 38.00 pound is so totally ridiculous to be quite honest but I will spend it on this oil.

    Trappeur

I kwym on these sales Trapp ,I to have spent so much lately on sales  .I  get hit & miss with WSP oils .Their oils   seems to work great or be a total dud with no scent throw . I would say it's about half & half for me with this company . I do love their Apline cheer,Jelly Donut  & Frasier Fir .

I do purchase about 10 scents  I love from them ,however none of these are pumpkin scents .

The White pumpkin creme sounds interesting & I already have many of  the 21 that are on sale ,some are good & some not .

I agree with you the VBN oil is outrageously expensive. I decided not to order this one any longer due to the High price.I am going to  try some other VBN . Have you tried Flamings VBN ? I Love so many from Flaming myself .

Lol I live in Texas & never purchased Lone Star oils ,thinking I should give this co a try soon.

What do you like from LS? Thanks for any recommendations from LS.

My oven is probably off, but at least now I know what to set it at and how long to bake the ornaments.  I know I have some roofing nails around here although drilling does tell me if the beads are not cooked enough.

My ornaments run in size from about 3" to 4".  Asking others about price, it has been suggested $2.25 to $7.00.  Right now I'm thinking $5 for all shapes/sizes.  Does that sound about right?  I am just selling them around town, no shipping, no online selling.

    GoldieMN

I sell mine for 5 also ,with the exception if 2 very large ones ,I get 7-8 .

I had problems with a couple batches of PlasticPellets4Fun bead ornaments.  They started coming apart when I drilled holes in for hanging.  I noticed that area was softer and beads were flaking off so I put them back in the cutters and baked again.  I sure hope this won't affect the throw!  Now, I have to set my oven at 350 and bake for 13 minutes.

    GoldieMN

I have not had the issue .I think baking longer will solve the problem. I use a nail in mine also before baking to make the hole for the string . The throw should be fine. These beads are very long lasting ,your throw should be fine.😉

I have not heard of this scent ,however it sounds great for Fall.

Hope you find it soon 😉
