  1. I too primarily shop online.  I hate malls of any kind.  However, we have a store like Home Depot here called Menard's and I love that store.  They always have plenty of help and are helpful.  My husband will ask if I want to run to Menard's with him and I jump.  Even to look around.  They have everything.  Even foods, some toys, pet supplies etc....And the store is always clean.

  2. I hadn't made any soap since July if I recall correctly.  So, the past two weekends I decided it was time to light a fire and get things back in order and supply replenished.  Pretty happy I'm starting to make a dent.   This is just some of them.   I got a lot of glycerine rivers in some of them as I totally forgot to change my lye concentration when I printed the recipe.  But I don't mind them too much.

You got that, right. I may just ransack the closets for old shoe boxes for now. 😜 I just purchased a metal Cutter and Log Splitter... So I'm all tapped out. 😭

I got mine from Amazon.  Think I got a 25 or 50 pack pretty reasonable.

  4. Hello and welcome!   If I run out of room on my two shelving units, after my soaps have cured I will store them in baseball card boxes.  1 scent per box.  They stack easily and keep the scents separated.  I don't wrap or label them until I need them.

  5. I make soap/scrubs/perfumes not candles but a few of my favorites are:  Perfect Man, Cracklin Birch, Passionate Kisses, Vanilla Champagne.  They sell well.   Hot Pink Lime (I liked it a lot) didn't sell well, I also like Anjou Pear Blossom varies from year to year.   I used Tulip in soap and scrubs and it sold great at the Tulip Festival but not much after that. It's a nice Tulip scent.   I got some of the others but haven't put them in anything yet.

  6. I agree with TallTayl.  Mine don't gel for at least 2 hours in a lot of cases.  They are solid in the mold but nowhere near hard enough to unmold. I can unmold in 12-14 hours with the exception of salt bars which I unmold and cut at about 3 hours.

  7. Some members of another forum have tested small batches with eye shadow they had laying around for colorants.  They said many worked.  They were just making soap for personal use. I have seen it recommended for beginners to try.   I don't use eye shadow so nothing around to play with.
