  1. They certainly are bright!
  2. BrambleBerry.com also carries SFIC bases. I know that for a fact, even though it's not listed on their web site. I've been ordering from them for a long time.
  3. You can add up to 1 TBS. of an oil or butter per 1 lb. of soap base.
  4. I agree. Nowhere does it say that it was tested for purity. Acid content can be adjusted.
  5. What bothers me is that some people have allergies to soybean or hazelnut, for example. If the so called pure olive oil is adultarated with these other oils and people with allergies use it, it could have dire consequences.
  6. Good job! I find this FO accelerates trace for me.
  7. There was a show on our local TV sometime last year saying that 60% of ALL olive oils imported are adulterated with other oils. I did find local olive oil, but the place told me they only make "gourmet" olive oil and wanted outrageous prices even for wholesale. How sad. I would have been happy to support the local economy. This is quite interesting: IMPORTED OLIVE OILS: Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Two out of three samples failed. Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Three of three samples failed. 8. On the web site it says it's skin safe. Has anyone used it in cold process soap? I have an email to them, but haven't heard back yet.

  10. I use the same scent load as if it was a wicked candle.
  11. I've done candles in jars without a wick and put them on a warmer. It does work. It just takes longer for the wax to melt.
  12. No, no, no! I am proud of the oils and butters that I use. They are fresh and not oxidized. Do you want your soap to get DOS? What about people with allergies? There is no way to know what oils were used to make biodiesel. This is a BIG liability issue. I would not take the chance; free or otherwise.
  13. Very pretty and great shots!
