Do you want the eucalyptus oil scent or the dried eucalyptus leaves scent? Most everyone does the oil scent that smells like Vicks VapoRub...I had found a really good dried eucalyptus leaves scent years ago but than they stopped carrying it. I've pretty much given up finding another one.

Send a 2oz. or 4oz. sample to Taylored Concepts and they'll dupe it. They did for me...no charge and they just add it to their list.

The Gingerbread Goodies was a huge seller for me last year.

One thing they need to do is find out if the exterminator is changing up his pesticide. Roaches have a great way of existing....when they smell something that will kill them they instantly give birth and those babies are immune to whatever killed the parent. So if you aren't changing up the poison it's futile to pay an exterminator. Also the sticky pads are great and no pesticide involved.

They can make great boric acid balls. You roll a little ball of peanut butter with boric acid. They can then put them in the cupboards under the sink in the outta the way places. If they have mice you could also add some mice pellets to the mix. But they have to either wear gloves or wash their hands really really well after fooling with boric acid.

Someone told me roaches don't like mediciny smells like original Listerine...don't know for sure never tried it but I know it works for mosquitos & no seeums.

Have them make sure there are no water leaks under the sink. That will attract them.

Check out JS...she has tons of Christmas food scents...some are listed under New Products & Christmas sections. Too many to list. In the 7 years or so I've been using JS's scents I haven't found a food scent that isn't a strong thrower and multi layered.

yes it is BCN and it is a "type" and it is a very sexy scent.

Does the scent of the hot wax with the FO in it give any indication as to how strong the HT will be?

Yes and no.....it will show you the possible potential of the oil for a tart but if you have the wrong wick it can all but destroy any idea of a throw.

I haven't ever used any of the waxes you posted about so can't give reference to them. However, I would have to say to give an honest test I would let any wax cure at least 24 hours. Soy may need longer. I use a soy/blend and have found I can easily burn the candle within 12 hours but like it better after 36 on some scents.

Remember when you test...write down everything ....where the candle is while burning...note of any drafts from ceiling fans...even better put in a bathroom where there aren't any...but make notes on top of notes. Trust nothing to your memory. You will have to test sooooooooooo much you won't remember your own name after a while. Make your self a chart ....include melt pool after 3 hours and give a %...2nd , 3rd, 4th burn melt pool, scent throw and make up a rating system. make up as many questions as possible and fill them out with every candle. That way you're comparing apples to apples. Remember each scent is different and reacts with the wax and wick differently.....take nothing for granted.

But most of all have fun and learn from your testing....you better cause you'll be doing it for a while!!!!!!

It's amazing how resilent we become when the alternative is just a pain in the ass...the original pita doesn't seem so horrible anymore!

Tayloyed concepts sells the Presto pot with spigot installed...very reasonably priced. It was worth it any additional cost instead of waiting around for DH to decide he felt like doing drilling hole etc...

Yes any FO is fair game for incense.

Piece of advice....save water bottles. You can drop the incense sticks inside them for them to soak and that way you can reuse the fragrance over and over.

Just put in about 1 oz. of each FO and DPG shake it up...drop your sticks in incense end first.

Screw on lid and lay it on it's side so the sticks are covered.

Leave for 24 hours.

Then pull the sticks out just enough to get a grip on the stick part ...tie them up with a twist tie and attach it to a bamboo skewer and put across the opening of the bottle so the sticks hang and the excess will drip off and stay in the bottle.

Let it stay like that for another 24 hours and then you can lay the sticks out to dry.

Keep your lid on the bottle, label it with the FO and it's ready to use again with that scent.

If you aren't using sticks....sorry I wasted your time!:tiptoe:

You can find the ones they use for red pepper flakes or cheese at Pizza parlors at Wal Mart in the kitchen section. Glass with screw on tops BUT...they aren't 16 oz. and they don't have lids. I searched for any size other than those funky cardboard tubes and couldn't find anything so I gave up on the powder years ago. Good luck!

You could write back and apologize for not having "smell-a-puter" connected so she could smell the quality of your candles while they are burning. If she goes to a YC store do they let her light a candle in the shop??????

I used to have that before I changed to my JS5050 waxes. Before I used 4794 and J223. Only thing I could figure was water. But never have I had it with the 5050.

AS usual, I just cleaned out underneath the sink and threw away about 50 baby food jars I was saving should a shower come up!

I just ordered Bite Me and Werewolf from NG. The Bella & Edward I got from MMS are good but a little too much alike. I might use Bella and Bite me for Edward. Can't wait for my order...they have lots of new ones.

WalMart has them or World Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, any place with a good kitchen section....Target.

Snowdrift has a perfumeer's alcohol. They have awesome tutorials. I make lots of perfume but only for myself and I LOVE this site.

I use hightemp silicone spatulas and clean with hot water & soap or heat gun & paper towels.
