  2. Christmas Wreath is by far the best woodsy/piney scent I have ever had the pleasure of sniffing! Absolutely love and is a best seller for me as well.
  3. Try www.greatcandle.com. I use parafin but she deals in soy and, it is great smelling! I love all her scents!
  4. OHHHHHHHHHH, hot wax! I was thinking of stepping on broken glass.....been there done that one! Glass, concrete and bare feet just don't go together in my experience lol!

  6. I was sent a gallon of lotion base by mistake and, rather than ship it back I am trying sented lotions. Since this is the start of Mosquito season I was wondering if anyone has done this. How much of the Bug Buster do you think I should use? I make a spray but this might be nicer to use. Thanks for your help!
  7. When we are having a bonn fire, I use it to start it. Don't have to use gas or lighter fluid.
  8. Whom ever you purchase from, if you are ordering pillar molds, you can save money by buying the tallest one they carry in your shape. You can then pour to the height you want. No need to get every size they carry. Just a hint.
  9. Hello, two out of four of my tapers pulled away from the mold about half way down. I tapped them but, do you poke relief holes to releave the pressure? I am using ok6228. Thanks!
  10. That is the correct spelling, I got it from Candle and Supplies. OOB it is just heavenly, more citrusy than floral. I am trying to find an orange scent that smells just like when you zip open an orange. I have been through many, I guess I'm just a little gun shy. Thanks all.
  11. Hello, has anyone ever had a fuel smell with this scent? I'd like to know before I pour, seeing that I only bought a sample bottle. I have had rotten luck with most citrus scents lol. I am about ready to give up! Thanks
  12. Okay I am going to try it. Does anyone add stuff to the wax like fragrance or I don't know lol. Or do you just use straignt bees wax? Thanks!
  13. I use a flat braid, sometimes a square braid. Go to Peaks and look up wicking it will help you out there as to which size to try. Hope this is of help!
  14. I have used both waxes. I Ended up with J50 because it rarely has wet spots. I do like them both though. I use zinc wicks. If available buy a slab of each and test to see which you prefer.
  15. I also drilled a small hole in the bottom of my mold. Just make sure you get the aluminum tape dowm real tight so it doesn't leak around the wick.

  19. I need help finding a particular taper shaper. I saw one that puts the groves in the bottom of the taper and I can't, for the life of me, remember where. It seems to me you heated it up and then shoved the candle in, and it shaped and grooved it. I think you heated it in the oven or on the stove. Any ways, I really appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks!

  23. Indygirl, I also do stained glass, mostly lamps and panels. I really enjoy sandblasting designs on glass! Candle boxes and lanterns are what I'm thinking now IF I can find the time! I also weave baskets, time permitting, crochet, knit and sew. Tried painting but, can't draw for s...! My first love is gardening, flowers and vegies and herbs OH MY. I am always looking for new challanges so welding and metal cutting is sparking me now. I would like to do yard art sculptures with metal and glass! If I can find the time lol.
  24. Hello. go to Peaks Candle Supplies and look under molds. Find the size and shape you have and they post suggested siizes of wick that will work for you. Remember these are only suggestions. It always works for me!
  25. Hello! Have you tried tapping the mold? When I fill with wax I take a wooden spoon and tap the side till it jiggles like Jello. Forces the bubbles up and out. I never have a problem with bubbles doing this. I also bring them up stairs where it is a little warmer, I never heat them.
