Has anyone tried JBN's Havana Nights? Is it at least close to Maduro? I have about 1/2 oz. of Maduro, from GL, and really need to know if they smell the same or very close. I hope someone can help. Thanks.

OMG yes! She was my favorite supplier and the closest to my home. I bought wax, scents, wicks and jars from her. I was in her shop a few times, bought some of her B&b products as well. My favorite scent was gingered cinnamon!, followed by crushed velvet, grandpa's pipe and I'd have to go down stairs to write up a list of all of them. I do believe I bought every one she sold. At one point I printed up the scent descriptions on all of them...........I just don't know where I put them. I would truly love to dupe some of them. Did anyone else happen to print those up??? I was heart broken but, excited for her move. I wish I had had more notice and the jing to have bought 55 gallon drums of some of her scents lol!

Thanks everyone. The search continues lol! While looking through the mountain of notes, I have collected, I came across a scent review from the old, The Scent Review board. It was for Woodlands, equal parts of Bayberry, Eucalyptus, Cedar, Freesia and Clove. Does that "smell" familiar to any one? I know somewhere I MUST have the scent description for WT. Maybe even for Autumn Spice, who carried that one? I even checked out Fancy Cat Candle and no Walk in the Woods. Sigh..........I just can't give it up! Well, thanks!

Right off the top of my head, Stonehendge, excellant soap scent, Grandpa's Garden, I believe it is a closeout scent. Smells just like a hand full of crushed tomato leaves! Just makes winter around here so much softer lol. There are more, just can't think of them at the moment. All BCN's by the way.

LOL! I can relate to that! I did m&p soaps for a wedding favore. They were cream colored hearts and the Marine emblem. I informed the bride's Mother that because, of the color they may be mistaken for white chocolate so, I would make up extra lables stating that fact and put one in each bag. It was clearly marked in big letters that, "THIS IS SOAP". Well, wouldn't you know, 3 people, that she heard of, took a bite. I guess you just can't fix stupid/alcohol, like you said!!! All you can do is just hope for the best and always lable in large letters! In hind sight, we should have put a "big" sign behind the, "help your self" basket, stating that this was "SOAP" lol!

Hello, my son "had" Psoriasis on the back of his hands, bad. A friend of his, who also suffers, told him to get off red meat. NO BEEF! He has been free for 4 years. I think you need to start from within and then use a balm. Just my thoughts but, it worked for my son.

Out of curiosity just what does the charcoal do? Does it turn the soap black?

Good morning, I have a question. When melting in an double boiler do you still cover with saran wrap, or is that just for the micro? It seems like condensation developes on the underside of the wrap. I don't know if it is from the steam of the pot or from the soap it's self. Thanks!

A question for Hawaiiansun. How much "real deal aloe" would you use in a pound of base? I have access to some and would like to try it. Once I scrape it out of the leaves is there anything else I should do to it? Thanks!

I use the 10 oz. flat lid Apothocary from the Candlemakers Store. I am not familiar with your warmer but, they do seem to fit most warmers. Give them a try!

I also love Peak's Ocean! May also try the Green Clover some day.

Okay, now that I'm crosseyed lol, I need some help please. I am looking for the scent of the outer husk of the black walnut. I picked one up today and all I can say is it's kind of spicy, peppery and maybe green? Anyone know what I'm talking about lol? Maybe it's a northern states type of nut. Anyways, thanks for your help and in the mean time I will continue to search.

For my own use, when I clean jars and pots, I line my cake pan with paper towel, very thick about 5 sheets. When it is realy saturated with wax, I roll them up like a jelly roll, while they are still warm. Let cool and store. They are heavy duty fire starters I use for starting campfires. I have no woodstove any more lol.

I like Peak's, Grandma's Swinging Eggnog! OMG! I also really like Willow Woods Christmas Wreath, really a very realistic pine scent.
