  1. Delicious looking soaps! Love the creamy texture....
  2. How about these? Scroll down to item BO-6. http://www.goplanetearth.com/gift_boxes.html
  3. The maple syrup sounds like a fun thing to try. When I tried the "sprinkle the sugar on top" on my Ginger Snap soap, I had to remove it. The demarra crystals partially liquified overnight and I had to wash them all off the top before I cut the bars. :undecided It was a disappointment.
  4. Saturday I got a call from my sister who wears my parfume spray made from SC's version of Angel (Thierry Mugler type). "You've got to give me a stack of your business cards!" she stated emphatically. When I asked why, she told me that two women (total strangers) stopped her as she was shopping that day to ask what scent she was wearing. One of the ladies went on and on, and both asked for my website address. So I will be giving her a stack of cards. Just thought I'd share how nice this fragrance is in all bath and beauty products. Yum. Now, if only it didn't discolor soap.
  5. Dramatic photo! Love the soap too.
  6. I agree! Your colors are great. Glad the FOs worked out well for you...and YAY! for a great stick blender!
  7. Beautiful! I like the distinctive swirl pattern.
  8. Thanks for your kind remarks! It occurred to me that I should have made the orange pomegranate at the beginning of the summer. :rolleyes2 Thanks for saying that! I'm the world's worst log mold soaper ever. This is the first time (apart from my stint of making whipped soaps) that I've ever gotten a half-way decent top on a log. I didn't show you my other log soap made with SC Grapefruit Ginger because it's very plain. :embarasse The scent is marvelous though. (IMHO this FO is what Yuzu ought to be!) The way that works for me every time (so that I get a nice even layer line) is to make each layer a separate batch. I've tried doing layers from the same batch, but just can't get the hang of it. I know there are others here who are adept at that method. Thanks again to all who have commented!
  9. Yesterday's batch of layered pumpkin FO soap served me up some lemons when the top layer went all globby and uneven during trace (I had used some older vanilla FO and I think that was the culprit). I spread it over the top of my good pumpkin layer anyway and hoped for the best. Well the best didn't happen, so this morning I sliced off the awful tops, tossed them out, cubed a bunch of the nice bottom layer, and determined to still use them somehow. I mixed up a bunch of chocolate soap enough to fill up my 32 bar mold and this log mold, tossed the chunks in, and poured. I put a little cocoa in to give it some color right now before it darkens, so it should turn a nice brown. I would have used a cheesecake FO instead of the chocolate if I would have been so lucky to have had one on hand. My other batch is Orange Pomegranate. I'm not a big fan of pomegranate, but it's more tolerable with a little orange in it. I had fun making this batch. I cut up some bars of "green smelling" soaps I had on hand into cubes and triangles and did a chunk layer. The pink which was the "top" in the mold is now the bottom! Thanks for looking.
  10. Pretty soaps and all the scents sound great as well!
  11. Wow! Your soap turned out great! Love the blue swirls. :highfive:
  12. Congratulations on your fabulous sales! It's got to feel fantastic to skip packing up a bunch of product because you sold most of it! And you kept the "bad check" lady at bay as well!
  13. Thanks for posting the link! I clicked on the posted link thinking "I'll check out a couple". Once I started looking I couldn't stop! She makes glorious soaps and has a real gift for photography and presentation as well. She is inspiring!
  14. Your booth displays always look inviting. I agree with others; the chalkboard is a great tool. When I see items written on a chalkboard I always think "fresh stuff" in the back of my mind plus "what a deal"! :highfive: I find the tub of lip balms appealing too, makes me want to rummage around to find just the one I want...and the log display - I'd be checking those out too. Sitting by a river selling great products...can't imagine a better way to do it! Sure beats selling inside a stuffy building. Really nice!
  15. Your are on your way! Soaping is great fun. Your pink is FABULOUS! Others are nice too, but I've got a thing for pink - so vivid.
  16. I just tossed them in by handfuls right into the soap pot before the pour and gave it a stir. They were all cubes. Saved a few for the top. DeJae - :embarasse It turns out I had to rebatch the Sandalwood & Oakmoss. I made a really stupid error when doubling the recipe (forgot to double the lye) and I wasn't about to throw away 126 ounces of oils! :rolleyes2 Did the oven bag thing and then added my calculated additional lye solution and mushed and cooked, mushed and cooked. I hate rebatching because I'm not good at it. Now instead of a nice swirl I've got a rough, jumbled soap sitting in the mold. I'll post a pic once they're cut and trimmed so you can see why I hope every CP batch of mine turns out "the first time"! LOL Thanks for the kind remarks!
  17. Thanks for your nice comments! I appreciate them.
  18. Fabulous new labels! Very appealing and chic!
  19. Pretty soaps! How fun it must be to share your craft with your grandchild. I bet she is happy as a clam with her soaps. :highfive:
  20. Since I've been working hard on lotion making I've been neglecting my soaping. This week I made three batches all in one day. It felt great to have the soap pot back out. I made Sandalwood & Oakmoss, but it's still too soft to cut. I made a chunk soap just for fun. Scented with California Navel Orange, it includes chunks of Shea Vanilla Bean, Lemon Drop, and Ginger Snap soaps and smells pretty good. Next up is Linden Green Tea from SW. I've used the FO in lotion and it's fabulous. A fresh, clean scent. It's great in CP as well. You can see the top ashed because I couldn't keep the lid on it! :rolleyes2 Had to peek since I'm a compulsive peeker. Not quite the color I was after, but this was my third batch and I got lazy. :tiptoe: Thanks for looking!
  21. Pumpkin Spice from SweetCakes smells like lightly spiced pumpkin - not too heavy on the spice note, nor too sweet.
  22. Pretty soaps! Love the striking colors of the Mandarin Patchouli and the softness of the Asian Sandalwood too.
  23. Your gift set is beautiful! I'm a fan of cocoa and pink. Your products look great! :highfive:
  24. You have got "IT"! Your bars are gorgeous in every detail. :highfive:
