    Wow

Yes, I have ordered from there as well.....LOVE 'EM!! And plus...UPS was having a hard time with my address (I live in an apartment where my mailing address is actually different than my shipping address) and they called me to let me know and then called UPS themselves to rectify the situation!!
  4. Yes, photosensitive means to be light-sensitive (especially to sunlight). As guppygirl listed, a lot of the photosensitizing EO's are in the citrus category. I know that when I use lotion that has any thing citrus type and go in the sun, I will burn more quickly and get a rash on top of it.
  5. My preference would be the dry...only, like said before, 'cause it would last longer and, like you said, somebody could add the extra's if they chose to without messing up preserv. factor.
  6. I don't like the heavy feeling either but a friend of mine loves it...just a matter of preference.
  7. Majestic Mountain Sage www.thesage.com
  8. exactly...the zap means it still has lye present...no zap means it's soap.
  9. They are all wonderful!! Love the soap puff chicken (it is a chicken isn't it??)
  10. Very, very nice!! Never tried the SL before for my HP's...gonna have to now.
  11. You can actually use/give Hot Process soap right away....but it's not a bad idea to let it set a couple of days just to harden/dry up a bit more. Oopps...didn't see that you answered your own question.LOL Well, somebody else might find the answer useful anyways.
  12. I have to agree with MMS. Love it.!!
  13. I get the Louana Brand from Wal-mart also. I have not used it to make soap but have tried it in body butter.
  14. I, too, use shea oil in my butters.
  15. I don't use a preservative in my butters but from what I have read, Liquapar would be the one to use. It's used at a rate of 1% so .16 would be used for your recipe..but I'm only going by the oz of butters and oils...not sure if the extra weight of the cornstarch would need to be factored in.
  16. My butters are also like a frosting...maybe a little stiffer. A new butter I made the other night turned out wonderful and not as greasy as my other butters. Here's the what I used (I didn't use a scale though so don't know exact weighted measure): 1 tablespoon shea butter 1 tablespoon avocado butter 1 tablespoon coconut oil (Louana brand from Wal-Mart) 1 tablespoon mango butter 1/2 tablespoon kokum butter (I'm sure cocoa butter could be a sub) It's a little stiff but it melts easily on skin contact.

    Mp/fo?

Yes, you can safely use 1/2 oz per pound.
  18. Unfortunately, I have to agree. Body Butters will be have a greasy feeling. I try to use lighter oils with my butters and mine still have somewhat of a greasy feel. Though they do seem to get a bit better after I've let them set up..but they still have a greasy feeling. I try to tell people who use it not to use too much at once. As stated above.."just a small dab". But even with the "greasy" problem, all my testers (family, friends, and co-workers), seem to like them.:smiley2: edited to add: Oh and I like the body butters as well...matter fact, I really don't like the store bought "body butters"..at least the ones that claim to be body butter that really are, in a sense, cream...but that's just me...I know alot of people who prefer those over the "pure" body butters. And on another note (sorry to keep rambling), I have a friend who buys straight shea butter from Wally world (it has shea butter and some other oils..can't remember what though) and it's a "pure" butter not a butter with added water) and it also has that greasy feeling.
