  1. Those are fabulous. Mine didn't turn out so well. I think I need to use a toothpick for the second color when I put it in the mold. A drop just flows all over the candle. thanks for showing us .....! j.
  2. Beautiful. I have 2 in the molds right now. My marbles never turn out, but I keep on trying. Maybe you will be my good luck charm!!!' j.
  3. I just never understood the facination with the lips or the flute..at least the juice bottle had juice in it. Yuck..chewing on the wax???? I never did that..just went straight for the candy on the elastic necklace!!!!! HHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
  4. I think it looks very cool. If you like a citrus scent...try citrus splash from Bitter Creek South...it is one awesome smell....and I don't detect any fuel smell in it. j.
  5. I'm in the same boat.. The only time I can smell my candles now are when they are a new scent. j.
  6. How about articles on Interviews with chandlers who have MADE IT Articles with fotos of their stores colors for each season new scents available molds differences in waxes the list could go on and on I want to subscribe!!!
  7. She could try a test...on a old piece of cloth to make sure it wouldn't take the color out...try mold cleaner/wax remover. I buy it from Bitter Creek North to clean out my molds. It works like a charm...I just don't know if it would take the color out of her carpet so I would test first. I made a mess one day...how I did it I don't know..but I had red dye all over my face!!!! hahaah,..I tried the mold cleaner and it took it right off..but I wouldn't recommend that again cuz it burned like crazy...but this stuff does remove the wax and dye easily.
  8. I love them!!! I do have a question, tho. Do you find that you get little dings, etc..from not having the candles in some type of packaging? Right now I am using the same type of twine and my business card hangs from it just like your lable, but I am putting my candles in cello bags and putting the twine around the top. I feel as tho if I don't get them in the cello bags right away...people come and pick them up and bump them into the other candles when they put them back...and I have dings and streaks, etc. I use IGI4625 preblended wax for pillars and find it's very soft. I like the looks of yours much better...without the cello bag..just the twine and lable..What type of wax are you using??? Jody
  9. I have just been told about a couple of craft malls in my area. A friend of mine was at one last week and talked to the owner about my candles. She then picked up some info and sent it to me. I seems that they provide the booth type/shelf area..(I would pay for that by the month...60.00 for the smallest and then up) and I would keep all the profits. This business keeps the books and pays the taxes for you. I would receive 2 checks a month for the profits. They also do the stocking. I would just drop off product. They require vendors to work a few hours a month also. Does anyone have experience with this type of thing. It's the first I have heard about it, but I am not a big shopper. Let me know. Sounds pretty good. j.
  10. I got my samples of WYW's high end fo's. I am pouring Tibetan Black Tea right now..wow..loving that. I poured Persimmon and Water Orchid yesterday...very nice and I am not a floral person. Leha Leha was also nice. I am very impressed with all three. I did Love Spell last week and tho I am not a perfume person, I was very impressed with that scent. Also did Citrus Splash in all kinds of funky spring color combos....that was fun!!!! J.
  11. WYW Mulled Cider is kick a***...from Bitter Creek North J.
  12. Is that a certain type of wax that does that?? Or do you do something to make that feathering?? It's gorgeous!!!!
  13. Does anyone have the instructions for these?? I had them once and must have deleted them accidently. I wanted to try some of these this month. I know it said to mix in a metal bowl and let sit. Add dye and mix then pour in mold and add more dye. I think you had to heat the added dye in the mold but have no idea of the amounts....a lb of wax??? If anyone knows I would appreciate some help! Jody
  14. Was it you who sent me the excel sheet with instructions on making marbled pillars? I think I lost it somehow and I just got all the stuff to make them. Could you please send it to me again??? PM me and I will send my email. Thanks so much// Jody
  15. I second WYW Vanila Grapefruit from Bitter Creek North. It's awesome. J.
  16. I had that problem with BCN EGG NOG...love it to death, but have to stir and stir and stir. It's worth it, tho.
  17. I buy cedarwood fo from BCN...that's what I make for myself!!!!! Lovely scent. Right out of the closet. J.
  18. I use just a little splash of mold cleaner on a paper towlel in my glass pouring pots....it has a lemony smell and takes away the original fo scent. I get mine at Bitter Creek..not too expensive and lasts me about 3 months. J.
  19. How about the woodsy scents? I gave Cedar and Cedar&Spearmint for Christmas to the men I know. J.
  20. I've read the term and think I may get it once in awhile in my plain(unlayered)cedar scented pillars made with igi4625. I notice that the day after I take them out of the molds I see big things thru the sides...looks almost like slices of fruit....hahah...only me.... I have wondered if I was not poking enough relief holes, or what. Is this air inside?? Is it unsafe? It looks kinda cool, actually, but I don't know what I did to get it. J.
  21. Ahhh you guys are too kind. I have been stupid all day. Henry baby...I sent you an email at your website ...would love your Muller Cider!!! J.
  22. thanks for the info. After I posted I felt like an idiot cuz I know that the wick pins are meant to be used from the outside. Mine just don't fit up the hole. my friend had the same problem and had her big strong husband force it in the hole. I am not strong enough so I just drop the pins inside the mold. Guess I will have to find a man now. J.
  23. Ok..you guys had the thread on spilling dye all over everything..been there done that, but I did the stupidest thing ever this week. Had my wax in a box next to the counter all chopped and ready to go!!!!! Went to move the George Forman grill off the counter inorder to start melting that wax. forgot that the little drip tray was still in the bottom of the grill and ...Yup..you got it...all the grease went..Where?? Right in the box of wax. I thought quick and washed off the the chopped wax. It was in big chunks and it was just little spots of grease, right?? No problem. Poured my wax...added my scent..of course the expensive Wick your Wax Mulled Cider...the last of it, too. Went to town pouring my first 2 layers. Everything is going great. Yeah!! Waiting for the second layer to cool and I start hearing little pops in the presto. There at the bottom is brown meat grease just a bubbling away. I am mortified. Why couldn't if have been carrots?? Anything but grease..which causes fires...in my candles that are made for burning!!!!!! Poured out the remaing very expensive wax and scent and washed out the presto. I guess I will burn the candles in front of myself and see if they sputter and flame. If it was in the bottom of the pot..I bet it's throughout the candles themselves. Just wanted to share my holiday candle disaster with you all for your reading amusement. Moral of the story??? Grill veggies for dinner!!!! J.
