    I just bought one from Wal-Mart about an hour ago. It's a Wagner which I believe is a pretty good name. It was only $20. The only things I need it for are to heat containers and to evern the tops of my wax so I don't need to repour. Hope this helps.

    It still sounds like CD8 is right for me. I ordered some this morning, so I hope so. But then again, this is all trial and error for me right now till I get it right. I really appreciate your input:grin2:

    I have been using zinc wicks in my 8oz jj. I want to try coreless but don't know where to start. I'm using J50 right now and my wicks are mushrooming badly. What is the best coreless to use?

    I paid a total of $60 for the container kit. That includes shipping so not bad. I'm so happy that is what I started with. Good Luck:highfive:

    These are preblened waxes. Is there something I can add to enhance it anyway? Also I just ordered a slab of J223. Any suggestions for scents and wicks for this one? I use 8oz JJ

    Hello and welcome. I'm fairly new also, but know you will not find a kit that contains everything you need. In my opinion Peaks Container kit is the best value. If container is what you want to make. That is what I bought and was very satisfied. The only other extras I needed to buy was a hot glue gun and a scale. Hope this helps:confused:

    I am so baffled. The very first candle I made a few weeks ago were great. I used 2lbs. Peaks performance blend with 2oz. Peaks Mandarin plum. Poured in 8oz tins. Used 51-32-18z wicks. The scent throw was great hot and cold. Now I poured the same wax 1oz per pound of FO Peaks Almond Paistry. There is hardly any hot throw. So I tried J-50 1oz of Peaks Clean Cotton per pound. This is even worse. There is no hot throw whatsoever. So I tried 44-32-18z wicks. No different. What am I doing wrong?

    I use either J-50 or Peak Performance Blend. I've been using 51-31-18z with great results. I'll be trying 44-32-18z tomorrow. I'm new so don't have much advice. Good luck

    I want to try some samples, but I don't know. Most of the time cheap prices mean low quality. I'll order some and let ya'll know what I think. But then again I'm so new to the game I might not be able to tell the difference. If any one else tries them out send me a PM Same goes for any advice on FO's Thanks Ya'll:grin2:

    Thank ya'll so much. I just purchased 10 lb. of J-50 wax and some wicks. I'm looking into color chips and FO's. I will definitley take into consideration all suppliers ya'll have mentioned. Also, do you know anyone who sells containers cheap?

    I was thinking about buying some color chips and wicks off of ebay. Has anyone had any experience with this. Do you think this could be a disaster? Some items have very good descriptions, but I don't know if I should trust it.

    I'm not talking about worm holes. These look like small craters around the wick. I was thinking I probably poured too hot. I'l just have to try again. Making me crazy and only my second shot. Much like my golf game. Wiff....Hook...Slice AHHHHH

    O.K. I need help. I was so proud of my first candles in 4oz. tins. They came out perfect. Now I made my second batch and I'm almost embarrassed by them. I used Peak perfomance blend both times. In my second batch I poures in 8oz jj and 4oz tin. This morning I noticed they are all uneven at the top and have sort of a pot hole around the wick. Can anyone help? I really want to fix this.

    I made my first candles yesterday. 4 oz. tins mandarin plum from Peak. Not a single flaw:grin2: Tonight I made 8oz. jj with almond pastries. This FO smells like Amaretto to me instead. Anyway, still a great scent. These are my first, but I have to say Peak Performance Blend(container) ROCKS:yay: Now in the next few days I get a shippment of J-50 I hope it does as well.

    How do I even begin? I don't have a name, design or any computer knowledge. Where on earth should I start. I already have customers from samples I gave out. I want to be profesional. How do I make or order them? Any advice appreciated.

    What kind of scale do you use for weighing your wax? Where did you get it and (if you don't mind) what was the cost. Need to do everything in moderation right now

    I see some large containers of FO's like 16 oz. My question is how do you measure just 1 oz. from the bottle if that's all you need? Hope this is not a silly question:embarasse
