    Is that for 8oz? I really want to get everything right the first time. Also, what length wick is used for the 8oz jj? What other wicks are good besides zinc

    If so any tips or suggestion? I just bought a slab and was wondering about any experiences you may have had with fragrance, dyes and wicks. I was thinking about using 44-32-18z for jelly jars. As for fragrance and dye, I'm clueless:confused:

    Hi. I'm a newbie too. I just posted a topic on this yesterday. I got the advice that starter kits can be good to get your feet wet and figure out what you want to do. I wanted to make container candles and just ordered a starter kit from Peak. It was about $60 including shipping. Has everything you need except a scale(I'm too new to even know if I need one) I just ordered it today. I'll be back to post how everything goes with my first candle EVER:D

    Thank you. Peak should be paying ya'll. I just bought their container starter kit. I can't wait for the truck to pull up:D Then again I have a short temper so there may be wax flying across the kitchen. Hopefully not:laugh2:

    Hello everyone I'm trying to do some research before beginning my candle making journey. I want to save myself time, energy and money! Can someone please tell me what the difference is between flakes, pelets and solid bulk wax. What is the best and easiest to work with? Also the difference in paraffin and soy. Thank you
