  1. I love my Soap Wizards press. I'm bath bomb impaired but at least this lets me get out my frustration. $20 and it makes tablets or the slightly rounded one with smooth sides. http://www.soapwizards.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jnppkpnoo
  2. I've only made glitter spray for our home use. I looked for super ultra fine cosmetic grade glitter. I think I got it off of Soapsaver so I don't know what brand it was. (sorry, I didn't realize exactly how un-helpful I was)
  3. Ugh! 45 minutes! I can also find it pretty easily at CVS and the supermarket. It's in the health and beauty section next to the laxatives.
  4. You're not having much luck, are you? I don't think you can really add scent after but I think some of my soaps smell more intense if they're stored together. Maybe put some FO on a cottonball and store it with the soaps?
  5. Someone said AARP gave her a good rate.
  6. I had some really, really stubborn soap once. I put the mold in the freezer and left it there for 2 days. It nearly apologized as it thunked out.
  7. I love everything I've ordered from Royal Aromatics. I just used their Lavender Patchouli in a scrub.
  8. I mainly CPHP but have CP in single cavity molds before. It was during warm weather and I was fine with a towel on the bottom and another on the top. I've read that it can be difficult to reach gel in a single cavity mold.
  9. If you wet it first, won't you trap water into the soap? I'd worry about the soap going gooey...
  10. What a nightmare! I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. people really stink sometimes.
  11. I know it's the right thing to do. I don't make claims but I worry about people with sensitivities, allegies, or simply preferences. Thanks for letting me whine.:rolleyes2
  12. How pretty! It's funny...I can almost smell it (because I have Coconut Lime Verbena on my hands right now)!
  13. Do I have to? Can I just put "glycerin soap and fragrance"? I know I'm being lazy. But my CP soaps only have 7 ingredients in them and M&P has sooooo many with names that are so inviting of typos! Thanks.
  14. This is going to be in the scrub/butter swap!!?? Oh my GOD!!! I love you now. Sorry, but you have a new stalker. I can't wait for my box!!!
  15. Neem is good against bugs. Unfortunately, black flies seem to be immune to everything (including Deet). Good luck!
  16. In my crock pot, yup. Otherwise...nope. I added the salt just before putting in the mold. I used silicone muffin pans so didn't have to worry about crumbly cutting.
  17. That happened to one of my little soaps. It was scented with Cherries and Chestnuts and had discolored to the color of fudge. You'll know it's true if they stop cleaning your workspace.
  18. I get bumps that sound like the same thing if I use Vitamin E. Sorry, not helpful. But he's not alone.
  19. I have a very low-tech method of shaving soap. I have a paint scraper (purchased new) and I made "rails" that are the right size for my soap and I just put the soap between the rails and slide the paint scraper along the rails. It helps me avoid wavy bars.
  20. I use unlined 3X5 index cards and create them in Excel. I can get 2-3 tags per card.
  21. I think it varies from supplier. I got a sample of monoi in a swap and loved it, bought some and despised it, and then bought more ('cuz I don't know when to quit) and love it again. There's been posts elsewhere about FO being added to monoi. I have bottles of sandalwood, vanilla, and coconut scented monoi at home (yum).
  22. Those are incredible. I'm in awe of M&P soapers. It takes such creativity.
  23. Was it cool when you cut it? I think you should just give it some time to hang out. It should be fine in about 6 weeks.
  24. I don't know anything about candles but you should check out www.labelsbythesheet.com for small orders. They have a bunch of sizes and as their name implies, they let you order by the sheet.
