  1. If any of you are looking for a wine scent this one is pretty good. I just wanted to give ya a warning though...smells like rotton ass in the bottle!...smells much better in wax.
  2. I just got Red Mac Apple from Just Scent and it is a keeper. I also like the red mad from Tristate and BCN. Cant go wrong with any of those three.
  3. Maybe Ash?...I cant see the pic clear enough to tell
  4. Black Cherry, Grape, Pink Grapefruit. I LOVE Tristate's Black Cherry....KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF STRONG....couldnt sell it to save my life! Grape....awesome thrower...doesnt sell Pink Grapefruit....so clean, fresh and crisp....Couldnt give it away!
  5. My most expensive FO is $20.95 a pound which is Patchouli from Tristate. I will not use any other Patch...but I always order at leat 3lbs at a time so I get $2 off ea pound. Other than that one I will not pay over $19 a pound. That is why I refuse to order from places like Candle Caccoon. Their scents are great but I can get just as good from Tristate, Peak and Just Scent....and a FEW from BCN.... and not effect my profit margin IMO.
  6. OMG girl...if you like the Sage, Sweetgrass & cedar buy the 2oz I have had for sale FOREVER! I think it smells like a litter box...lol I am not into earthy scents either but I sell a lot of them! Tristate Candle SUpply.... PATCHOULI Bitter Creek North ......Nag Champa Tristate ......................Sage and Citrus Tristate ......................Clove Peak .........................Tall Grass Peak.........................Asian Sandalwood Peak ........................Cool Citrus Basil
  7. first thing...buy some supplies. We cant tell you what to buy as it sounds like you have never even made a candle. This is not a get rich quick business. I have been doing this for 4 yrs now and still not able to quit my job as an Insurance Agent. If you are looking to start this as a side business be ready to sacrafice a lot...mostly free time and sleep. If you do your research and testing the end result should be a nice, safe, sellable candle.
  8. I sell a ton of the air fresheners...even have groups that do fundraisers with them because they last so long. First thing...Ya have to have a STRONG FO!....I use a mixture if Corn cob and Vermiculite. The vermiculite is way to light to be used alone IMO. Good luck hope things work out for ya.
  9. HA HA HA HA HA...I GOT ONE:tongue2: !!!
  10. I was a little leary of that too. There are 2 different sellers selling that type of mold. I got mine within 2 weeks. I am a wooden mold gal. I have a southern belle mold too. But I have to say I really love the mold that Mystical put the pic up of. I have never had my bars so uniform in size!!!!! If you have messing with freezer paper like I do....make a liner out of mylar. For my small molds I just use Transparencies and bend them to fit the mold. Then after you unmold the soap just wash it off and you are ready for another batch!
  11. OK, I have to admit....that is cute!
  12. Well, that is an Injet Printer....did you order inkjet labels? I know it sounds stupid...just asking.
  13. Would help to know where you are so that way someone close to you might be able to advise.
  14. BUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!! BUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am gonna see Bunny in 2 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. The SPearmint from BCN is an awesome soaper.
  16. I do HUGE Fundraisers every yr.....like over 5,000 candles. Personally, I would NEVER offer votives....too much work! I offer 9oz hex jars in at least 12 scents. The group picks the scents, however, I do make suggestions as to my top sellers. If this is your first fundraiser I would keep it simple. Dont overwhelm yourself. My first fundraiser 4 yrs ago was over 1,800 candles and that was very overwhelming to me as I did not expect those sort of numbers. Also, make sure you give yourself enough time to deliver. I make sure I have at least 3 full weekends before I have to deliver the product as I and my partner both work full time jobs. Just dont get yourself in too deep. Good Luck!
  17. Tried a new recipe that I made up with mostly Soy Oil. It traced immediatly! Even before I added the FO.....but I think it turned out ok....
  18. Most peopel here would rather do it theirselves....thats most of the fun. I am ALL ABOUT the packaging!
  19. Oh geez...I am trying to remember my color wheel chart. I know equal amounts of 2 colors will give you black...but not sure on brown. I know everytime I try to mix Purple from red and blue I get brown...so try that...lol I use copper B&B dye from BCN.......or Brown B&B dye from candlesandsupplies.
  20. I like the label...simple...elegant...perfect!
  21. I got the 1lb mold from them just to do test batches...I think they sent me the wrong one. It held a tad over 2lbs of soap. I personally didnt like it because the pegs were not in there good. Honestly for a log mold you CAN NOT go wrong with Southern Belle molds. They have an ebay store.
  22. OMH will definitly turn...vanilla based. OMH in CP soap turns dark tan...and it does in my Bath Pills too.
  23. If you are using a vanilla based FO they will more than likely turn. Maybe use a Vanilla Stabilizer. I have that problem with my Dreamsicle and Warm Vanilla SUgar.
  24. I use the WVS from Tristate Candle Supply and Candles and Supplies. Both sell really good for me in B&B products....but like Sara said it does discolor in soap and I have had my Bath Bombs discolor also.
