  1. If you want to spin it you may have a selling point there At least it's a pretty color and not something nasty!
  2. Not only label the jars before you fill them, but label them before you get your wicks out and immediately go from wick in the bag to wick in the container. I can't count the number of times I've taken three wicks out of bags, put them all in one hand, then looked down at them and gone "Uh oh." :rolleyes2 BTW -- really small Avery labels work as well -- since I've wised up and used them I haven't run into the wick shell game anymore.
  3. Try for a gusseted or flat bottom bag that is taller than it is wide -- I think your problem is that the potpourri is spreading out and looking kind of squat. But I think you do have the right amount for the price...
  4. Those are awesome! I want some!!! I'm so jealous -- you do such great rustic pillars....
  5. :( That blue was soooooo beautiful! But I'm sure it still smells wonderful!!!
  6. Need to pour some more testers. I'm trying to bring a new container into the line in 2 or 3 scents. Got the StormWatch down -- need to test with the Asian Sandalwood and maybe something else. Also need to pour some tester tins in Asian Spice and Spices of the Orient for a co-workers wife. And because I usually work Wednesday - Saturday usually Sunday will be my first (and only this time) weekend day
  7. Those are cute especially with the embeds. On the boxes -- have you checked Papermart? I use them for most of my boxes - love the prices. Don't know what size you are using, but here's a quick sample.- (scratch that, the copy and past didn't come through very well. Here's the website instead) www.papermart.com
  8. I think light green as well. But maybe because whenever I hear pear I think of Pear Glace (which was light green, I think?? )
  9. I like those swirls, too Were you aiming for a dark pink color or a red? On my computer they look almost fuschia??
  10. Gor-geous! I bow before your mastery! :smiley2:
  11. Very, very cool. Any thoughts about marbling the tear drop ones? That would add to the interesting visual effect when they melt.
  12. They are 3oz tumblers. I get mine from Fairway Glass -- they go up to 7.5 oz in the frosted but the do have 11 oz clear tumblers and I believe that they will frost upon request. Don't know what their minimum order for that would be. Thanks again for the nice comments. Although I've been candlemaking for about a year, these are the first products that are officially going online for sales and the first that I've ever posted here. Hopefully I'll get more up here soon The start of something big. Woohoo!
  13. LOL! What qualifies as a free-range noob? One who has unrestricted access to candlemaking?
  14. Here's a really, really dumb question, but could soap (or other residue) be reacting with the hot FO and wax to produce foaming? I know, without a picture it's hard to diagnose, but I've often wondered if my candles would foam if I accidently left soap in them after cleaning. BTW -- never had a foaming problem when I was using C-3. Some bubbling once in awhile around the edges, but that's it. (even with Spiced Cranberry from NG)
  15. Okay I'm a big dork today -- I was thinking wax and typed soap. What am I kidding, I'm just carrying on my dork-dom to new realms. :embarasse :rolleyes2 Ignore me, please. Still as impressed as I was before, tho!
  16. Owie! I do have sensitive skin and I'm cringing right now for you.... We used to use this soap all the time (years ago) because that's what my husband grew up with. He used to use it on his face as well -- but always in diluted form. I swear, the first time I read that bottle I almost fell out of my chair laughing -- if you believe the label that stuff could save the world! LOL!
  17. Oh wow! How do you do that??!?!? Wait -- scratch that. If you tell me I just might try it - and that would just be dangerous LOL!. Please forgive my ignorance - but are those all 100% soap or are there some containers involved? If you say all soap I'll fall off my couch.
  18. LOL! I guess I'm not the only one who keeps clicking on the ones I like over and over again. This soap looks soooooo smooth. CareBear are you going to start selling anytime soon? Cuz if so I might as well hand my credit card over to you people right now and get it over with!!!
  19. Thanks for the tip! I've got a Michaels and HobbyLobby nearby so I'll check out both of them -- maybe every time I've looked before they haven't had the colored ones. I'd certainly like something better than $1.60 ...and thanks all for the nice comments. I feel like a nervous mama.... LOL!
  20. LUCK! How many days a week is it? I know around here Farmer's Markets are very popular and would be a great place to start. As for the weird questions I don't know -- the silliest question I've gotten is "do you make these yourself?"
  21. Ditto on the congrats!! Hope things go well and that they fly off the shelves (into customers' hands, of course!)
  22. Oooooh - pretty! I love Monoi de Tahiti soaps (recenty discovered love ) Too bad I'm not in that swap - LOL!
  23. My first thought would be no... if your label is large enough than put the warning/use instructions on the side? With the text vertical? BTW -- saw that you are on the "featured member" rotation now -- clicked on the banner but it didn't work. I got an error - didn't even make it to the site. Thought you'd like to know!
