  1. Hi All ๐Ÿคฉ Question for you ... Does anyone decorate their jar candles with ribbon, jute or hemp tied around the neck of the jar for presentation purposes? I love the look and I know hemp can withstand heat up to 700 degrees; however, I was wondering about the safety of it. If you decorate your jars, do you tell customers to remove this before burning candle? Attached is a picture. The hemp has been cut with short ends and does not come up above top of jar. Thanks for advice / input ๐Ÿ˜ CC
  2. I googled "candle accesories" and it kept bringing up candle shades ๐Ÿ™„ I want to put some sort of ornamentation around the neck of my jar, but am fearful of using raffia, jute, ribbon etc because "common sense is not a flower that grows in everyone's garden" ๐Ÿค” Last thing I want is for someone to catch ribbon on fire ๐Ÿ™„ CC
  3. I'm looking for a place that sells wholesale metal rings that go around the neck of the candle jar. Some have bling hanging from them. I'm specifically looking for vintage with like stars or hearts charm hanging from them. Any help would be appreciated ๐Ÿ˜ CC
  4. I used the search feature and am finding great posts about grapefruit FO blended with other FO's. However, I am looking for a tried and true Grapefruit FO that is "spot on" for scent in soy. Not happy with NG grapefruit FO's choices. Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks CC
  5. For me to ghost label. Have the name of the pharmacy on the label as the business name and at the bottom of the label... mfg by my company name. They cautioned that letting a business give themselves a line of candles without registering as a business under that candle line would cause a breach of insurance contract in Maryland. So, if they wanted to call their candle line "Anchor Candles" it is my responsibility to get a copy of their business license that shows they obtained a business license for such candle company before I create a line of candles called "Anchor Candles" for them. To hand them candles with no label on them and a label on the bottom that says mfg by my company name and the normal warning sticker for burning instructions would VOID my insurance completely with no recourse if there are any claims. So, I will never just do any label unless I do my "due diligence" first. That's what Iearned ๐Ÿ˜Š
  6. Thanks for all of your responses ๐Ÿ˜Š I've got it all figured out ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. I can't wait to get the samples. I'm not even pouring any more candles until I get 100 from you. With that said, Bittercreek (the plastic sample I sent you that didn't quite fit) were 100 of them for $30. The white plastic cross bar one's sell for $34 for 50 of them. Whatever you choose to sell them for, count me in ๐Ÿ˜Š Happy to be your first sample ๐Ÿ˜Š Cheers, CC
  8. Becky discontinued her Banana Nut Bread FO. It had something to do with the chemical plant burning down and the raw materials to make it would of been excessively spendy
  9. Uuuggghhh ... ridiculous on the Aldi thing ๐Ÿคจ
  10. Can you all tell me how chandlers do all soy wax melts when soy is so dang soft? I use a coconut & soy blend and they would never pop out of the clamshell ... it's more like use a butter knife and dig it out ... sorry ... off topic ๐Ÿ™„
  11. I rewrite descriptions on my web (with same scent notes, but some with humor, some with wit added and make the scent descriptions fun to read. I also rename 95% of the scents I use and trademark a lot of my names through USTPO. I cannot tell you how many customers are drawn to the names .... it's a conversation piece and then they want to smell and sniff test. It's an amazing marketing tool if you have imagination and creativity ๐Ÿ˜ Cheers! CC
  12. Honestly, I'm really up in the air about whether I want to entertain wholesale at all. But, I need to do my "due diligence" because I would never do anything underhanded. I wasn't thinking anyone was suggesting underhanded either. I just want to do it the right way. Thank you all for your input.
