justajesuschick
That is so nicely done! Impressive. Such talent here on this board. Is the "bowl" also wax?
Dolcibugie
Is the "bowl" also wax?Yes, it is. I like everything of my candles being made of wax (except the wick... eheheh!)

Scented
OK I tried to stay away from foodie threads because it's so blazing hot here I just am not into food ... however, looking at faux ice cream has a slight cool down affect. Nice job!

Lorelei
I would love to learn how to do these...is there a tutorial somewhere? What waxes-wicks? So nice and refreshing! what scent did you make it?

Dolcibugie
what scent did you make it? Vanilla. There are no many scents available here in the old Italy. I made the "bowl" using a normal kitchen aluminuim mold, putting the wick in the middle of it while the wax is still liquid. When the bowl was ready, I took it away from the mold and then I whipped the wax- 80% paraffin, 20% stearin - (just like you do with cream to make it whipped. You just have to wait till wax starts hardening), one color at the time and put it on the bowl using this http://www1.tescoma.com/images/zbozi/420216.jpg, which is an ice cream tool. A little bit of white wipped wax at the top and the cherry is made with mouldable wax.Done!(I hope my English is understandable)
