laurenscandlebakery
Ok, I have a few pretty stupid questions about the Presto Pot lol01) What kind should I get? Kitchen kettle? I'm confused.02) Whats the benefit of using a presto pot vs a double boiler?03) How do you get the melted wax into your pouring pot easily? B@BlissStreet
1: Yes, Kitchen Kettle. Save the basket for other cookware!2: No risk of H20 getting in your wax!3: I just dump mine in over the side, but some people have spigots installed. There are many tutorials to do it online. HTH! mzphee
Lauren You have to get one you will love it, it helps also if you use two differnt waxes you can have them both going and warmed in no time...I have one with the spigot I got on ebay but I also have a reg one and going to get another for my M&P soap
laurenscandlebakery
How low does the temperature go? I'm not finding it on the specs. Also, since we ovbiously can't use the frying basket lol, what do you put in their to hold the wax? I'm sorry for all the questions lol

I'm sorry for all the questions lol temp goes down to warm..200 and so on...nothing thats the good thing unlike the double boiler you can just melt the wax in the presto pot and its easy to clean. some people mix fo and dye in theirs I dont I still use my pyrex or pour pot for that..try it girly you will like it I think lol
ksranch
Also - Get a good themometer to monitor the temp of the wax in the pot - it is critical. I love my prestos and highly recommend them as well.
