jackbenimble
With the MRH co-op on the horizon I was looking through all their herbs and saw several herb powders that would be great soap. Here are some that I found. Now some I know will work like the spirulina powder but what about the other listed. Will they work with a MP soap?Olive leaf powderOrange peel powderSpirulina PowderKelp powderAloe Vera powderCalendula powderCamomile flower powder Edited February 21, 2012 by jackbenimble
Kitn
You can add them to M&P for sure. I have tried kelp powder and could not get past the smell of it in soap.
BlancaD
I agree Kelp stinks....you can use the other botanicals sparingly as they can discolor and brown with contact with water and use
Ravens
I add some of those you listed, but I always make sure to mix them well in a bit of OO first, otherwise they may clump and may be difficult to break up once in the melted MP. You could also use chamomile and calendula petals for (what I believe) greater visual appeal; especially if you pour clear MP soap or soap with one or more clear layers.GL! Pam W
What value is added to the M&P when including these powders? Since M&P is a wash off product is the customer getting any benefit from the additives or is it just label appeal?
