  1. Hi-RE/AH has a sweet tarts FO that smells really good
  2. Hi...Use a transparent melt and pour base--it won't discolor
  3. I agree Kelp stinks....you can use the other botanicals sparingly as they can discolor and brown with contact with water and use
  4. I use my leftover wax on a warmer to scent the house much like a melt does and I also pour into flat cookie sheet-allow to harden and break up and use mixed with herbal potpourri or in little fabric bags as sachets in closets (cool areas) they make the area smell amazing and it's flameless
  5. Hi...I use Cucumber Wasabi Cilantro from NG and it smells really fresh and clean in skincare products and soap
  6. I have added the avocado pulp with the oils when blending with the lye or at light trace...it's really easy to work with and the lather is heavenly and creamy ...my recipe contains 25% Avocado oil and makes a very lotion like lather
  7. Sugared Spruce from WSP...smells like a crisp fresh sweet winter day
  8. Hi There CandyBee...I have made soap using avocado pulp ..I use 1 whole avocado(medium size) per 2.5 pound soap recipe..I blend it in with the oils..it does discolor to a dark greenish brown but the lather is wonderful especially when combined with avocado oil in the recipe...I usually use a fresh smelling FO or EO blend and I add green tea leaves or peppermint leaves for a speckled effect....
  9. Just googled Paul hanson and apparently Nigerian scammers are using this name for bank fraud too...they use Dr.Paul Hanson as well so it might well be they are using a innocent persons name fraudulantly:undecided
  10. Hello Everyone I have a question .. I would like to add glitter to a cupcake soap AFTER it has set, what is the best way to get glitter to "stick" onto the soap ..Thank you
  11. Simply gorgeous...love them
  12. Hi Darbla ..I use a Geranium rose and Lavender blend very often and it smells fantastic...you can also try Sweetgrass(NG) ..it smells very fresh and perfect for a hair product ...
  13. Hi friends..I make my own fuel for my effusion lamp(aroma lamp) by mixing a 16 oz bottle of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol..can be found next to rubbing alcohol at the pharmacy.. 1/2 ounce Fragrance oil and 1/2 ounce distilled water..mix ingredients and fill lamp half way only..let the cotton wick soak up the solution and ignite outside..allow flame to burn for 5 minutes then extingusih and enjoy...Do not substitute any other alcohol and make sure you ingnite the lamp in a safe area..handmade fuel costs 1/3 less than fuels found in the stores... use fragrance oils from reputable sources..I use fragrances that are used for candles and bath and body products.
  14. I would just do commercial witch hazel mixed with the essential oils..it contains just enough alcohol to be self preserving and disperse the oils (14%) and its safe for dogs..just use a dog safe essential oil blend such as lemongrass, citronella, eucalyuptus, peppermint, geranium and lavender..a few drops into an ounce of witch hazel is all you need..hope this helps
  15. Hi..I use 1.5 oz FO to 16 oz soywax(415)...I get excellent hot and cold throw with NG's fragrances Hope this advice helps
  16. Hi Candy, I usually use the canned coconut milk that has as ingredients: Coconut milk, water and a food grade preservative..Goya brand has one as(found in the ethnic aisle in the grocery store) well as several Thai brands...the coconut creme that is sold for preparing drinks can wreak havoc in a soap as the added sugar(guar gum) can make soap overheat and burn or separate (false trace).. I agree with Kitn...hope that helps:)
  17. Hi Ocean..I place my cupcake soaps in transparent corsage boxes with a pretty cupcake liner..makes a wonderful protected display ...
  18. Hi Candy..are you sure you didnt use the coconut milk meant for mixed drinks..because the coconut milk I use doesnt get that thick just by chilling it..I usually add it frozen to the lye mixture..
  19. Hi Laura, if you add polysorbate 3 parts or even 4parts to 1 part FO it will produce a clear product with most FO's, try it out ..
  20. Hi, your recipe looks good, I would add another botanical oil such as Almond/Avocado and virgen coconut oil for deep conditioning..if you do decide on the coconut it would need to be packaged in a jar-as it solidifies in cooler temps, also if you are selling I would add a preservative (for oil based products) as you never know if people will introduce water into it..most people do as they apply in on wet hair with wet fingers..otherwise it sounds good, love the watermelon oil:)
