cwayneu
DW Billie has been practicing with her soap cake decorating skills. I think they turned out pretty good. The cake is a two scent cherry and lemon FO. The cupcakes are raspberry, frosted with blueberry FO. The bars are Juniper Breeze.Whole CakeSliced CakeCup CakesFancy Bars

sjconner
Those are awesome!!!!! Did you use whipped cp for the frosting? I was going to play with this last fall but never got around to it. Susan

Billie
Sorry, was gone all day. Thank you all for the encouragement.SJ. It is just regular CP I let sit in the bag until thick. It sometimes can take 10 - 15 minutes. hthSoapbuddy..they come right out with no coating or sticking. Just pull away the sides and they push right up. soapbuddy
I have a question. Those sprinkles are water soluble, right? Since soap has some water in it, will those sprinkles dissolve over time and stain the outside of the soap?
Billie
This was my first time trying this so I may not know for awhile but I can keep you updated. So far there is no discoloring on the curing soaps as of a week curing and I think they would just melt and come off in the shower. I see a lot of people doing this on video and no one has mentioned problems but I guess I'll find out. I will update this post in a few weeks and let you know. )

cedar_lea
Speaking of cake decorating techniques has anyone seen/heard of anyone decorating soap like fondant? It seems like it *should* be possible but I'm not sure.
donna4909
Wow, that looks amazing! I've done whipped soaps before, but my hubby ended up doing most of the piping work. I just don't have the skills to make them beautiful like that. *lol*
Billie
Thank you everyoneI hadn't used the piping bags before either, just watched a lot of u tube videos. I think I just lucked out, the next one may be really ugly. lol
