EricofAZ
http://www.infozine.com/news/stories/op/storiesView/sid/45517/QVC is recalling a "spinning" tealight holder for fire hazard. Yeah, lets just light wax, melt it, and sling it around the room. Kinda reminds me of when I was a little boy and got ahold of my first kitten (by the tail). pleasureridgecandles
I can't imagine how spinning melting wax could possibly be a fire hazard!! lol I'm sure it took someone actually burning their house down for them to figure out that wasn't such a good idea. Candybee
Its not the candle holder that spins. Its the shell thats attached to the holder that spins as the tealight burns and heats it up. Those are the things that were catching fire. Just a really bad idea anyway.I bet the metal pieces got really hot and can burn your fingers too. I remember they used to make Christmas ornaments using the same principle years ago. Never see them anymore either. I touched one once and it burned my fingers badly. What made these people think they could make something to sell that can burn you?!!
