Beef Tallow

Soapers Choice is now offering tallow in 7 pound bottles. It's pricier than a 50 pound cube but I don't think I can use that much tallow.

Thank you for posting this Steve. I always have to buy 50lbs of this stuff and separate it and put it in the freezer I think it will be alot easier that way. I also split this with a friend so I will have to let her know you can buy it that way.

Oh but $11.69 for a quart. Yikes. Check the price per pound and see what you think. Wish I had ordered pko too. Darn. Wish they would offer the no stir palm in smaller amounts. heheheh.

Maybe if we keep asking Mike from Columbus Foods to put the No stir palm in gallons maybe he will do it.

This tallow is rendered from all the beef fat, not only the kidney fat (our one quart product is rendered from only the kidney fat).

Oh, just bought 10 pounds of cocoa butter and shea butter BUT I would love to get in on a cube of no stir palm, as well as, some tallow. Their tallow is not as pretty as AAA but oh well. Its also a real pain to deal with tallow in anything but a pail. IMHO.

i am not in need of anything but tallow..

and i don't think i am up to that big of co-op..

that is alot of weight, that i just don't think i can handle..

Oh, c'mon now, Steve. You just roll up your sleeves, cut open that box and dig in. And, as a side benefit, you end up with the softest arms in town from having all that tallow smeared right up to your armpits. :laugh2:

LOL. I guess the container is half full then? I would go with my soapers association but their minimum is 400 pounds. Yikes! Now if Babs and some other Bama girls would go in together?

Then cram it into a 5 gallon bucket. It's easier when it's soft.
