rebeccajo99 Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 I decided to try some oatmeal in my soap. I think I did alright. I left it unscented and undyed. When testing a piece last night, I didn't get the oatmeal ground as fine as I was hoping, but I think I really like it that way. Gives it a little scrubby feeling to it. I used more water than what I normally do so i could get the oatmeal good and incorporated into the soap, so it is still rather soft, so we will have to see how long it takes to fully cure. I sent the oatmeal through the food processer and I felt it between the burst, but I guess it felt smoother to my finger tips then it did once it got in the soap. It isn't very scratchy, just mildly. Another thing you can do to get more oatmeal goodness into ur soap is soak some in water overnight and strain it (oatmilk) and use as your liquid.I really like how yours came out.
