icecold
I know everyone probably does a different fo load in there soap, but what is the norm? I have done my first few batches of soap with 1 oz per pound of oils. Is this OK or is it too much FO?
Barbara AL
I like to use .8 or .9 per lb of oils I know most stay around .7 per lb of oils but I like mine strong.Barbara
adamsboro
.7 to 1 oz for every lb of oils is the norm. I've upped it a bit for some but wound up with extra FO laying around after I've un-molded it.
wexford
I use 1oz per quite a bit, some may seem strong at first but then they don't fade after a few months.
Scented
I use 1oz per quite a bit, some may seem strong at first but then they don't fade after a few months. That they don't lol! I use 1 oz a pound also, except in EOs.
TexasBrat
That they don't lol! I use 1 oz a pound also, except in EOs. I'm gonna experiment and use 1oz per pound now just to see the difference. Of course depending on the fo or eo and if it's strong or not. I've always felt mine were just a little under scented and I love a strong scented bar. Scented
Then do the 1 oz, but you might think of cutting back a little on the really strong FOs ... or don't lol. I don't think I've cut back on one and probably should have, but I haven't had complaints.
