  1. White Chocolate and Red Hots have been great sellers so far.
  2. I agree. Tried to do a co-op and could not get ahold of my rep for 2 weeks. I gave up and went to another manufactuer. Their not the only ones out there.
  3. I used to have a store from them but one thing I couldn't figure out was how to list my products alphabetically (?). Other than that It was pretty great site.
  4. Floral fragrance do tend to seize up really fast. When I soaped these I had everything ready to go and then pushed the mixture into a mold with my hand covered in saran wrap.
  5. Oops I meant to post it earlier. adamsborosundries.com
  6. Yep I live in old Adamsboro on the Eel. You must be the Fantastic FO supplier that has great oils that everyone raves about. I hope to one day be as great as your business is.
  7. I use them quite a bit although none of the ones you have mentioned cedar_lea. I've requested samples and always get them really quick. Anyone can order from them but you must order at least 5 lbs and the most I've paid is $16.50 a pound . Shipping is also reasonable. Because you have to call in your order, you get a personal rep that you deal with. Mine is very friendly and will answer any questions that I have without acting like I'm bothering her.
  8. Sorry for not getting back sooner. Very busy day at my other job. I do not have a stand alone site yet. I sell mostly on Etsy and a few other places. I thought I would be create a site this month but I think I'll wait it out a couple of more months. My other job is in the auto industry and when gas goes up, I see first hand what can happen. I work at chrsyler and we make the transmissions for the big trucks. People just don't buy the gas gusslers when gas gets over $4.00 so I may have some time due to being laid off to give it my full attention. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.
  9. Hello, I am a small FO supplier who just started a year ago. I can offer a few tips. I have several manufactuets that I go with, not just one. Just like with suppliers, some will have hit or misses, those that I don't like, I tend to blend and make those "my special scents". It does take alot of money to invest but if you start small the business should be able to support itself. The more lbs you can purchase on one scent the better the profit. There is alot of competition. The hard part is getting others to give you a chance since most shop at the bigger stores. Customer service is the key to get repeat customers. Offer quality products and include some other items besides FO's. I've been doing this for alittle over a year and 100% of sales are re-invested. Don't plan on living off of sales for awhile because you really need to have a great selection to attract customers. Sorry if this is all rambling but it's early and haven't had much coffee yet. Deb
  10. For fragrance oils you can use I use HDPE only. In my opinion PET becomes brittle over time. Of course you would want to use glass for EO.
  11. Yes they are more tan happy to send 1 oz samples. I just test each one on different applications to make sure it's what I want to carry.
  12. I get quite a few of my oils from there and they are wonderful. Of course the 5 lbs at a time is chance I have to take when I don't know if it'll be a good seller or not. Their customer service is great and are happy to answer any questions.
  13. Wish I could help cause I could sure use one about now.
  14. Thanks! I just had to bookmark the fashion magazine one. Looks really interesting.
  15. I agree that there is no need to put these in the fridge. Some contain crystals as an element and you will notice these when cold. Fragrance Oils for the most part will have a long shelf line. There are very few that will not last past a year. Blends can "mature" the longer they are stored but usually for the better. You don't mention how these have changed. Hopefully none have gone bad.
  16. I have a couple of fragrances that do this. Pink sugar is notorious for this. From what I've discovered it's the crystal compounds used to create the scent. Warm water will disolve these and the fragrance will not be effected.
  17. I know of one manufactuer that does not mind if you use their descriptions and pictures. I was talking to a cutomer service rep and asked her and she said that they encourage it. I still use my own scent descriptions and my own pics when I sell on of their fragrances.
  18. That's just what I was thinking. Great for Valentine gifts.
  19. .7 to 1 oz for every lb of oils is the norm. I've upped it a bit for some but wound up with extra FO laying around after I've un-molded it.
  20. Never heard of this. Too me if your mixing everything together it will produce the same results no matter when it was brought into the mixture. I've never tried this so I'm just guessing.
  21. That is some fantastic looking soap. I would just set it on my counter to stare at.
