LuminousBoutique
I dont sell them but the range on etsy seems to be huge.. I see lots of people selling sets of 4, for around $5-6... but I also see them for as much as $8-$9 for 4. Truly I think its what the market allows, but I'd say up to $2.00 each is reasonable for a handmade votive- if you find people will pay it and it allows for profit. Candybee
Don't make votives anymore. But when I did I charged $1.50- to $1.75 per votive. That was about 3 yrs ago.
Wessex
I don't sell, but with my costs using GG palm, I would say $1.59 would be about a 3x markup. Maybe a bit more than 3x, but nice comfortable margin.Cheers,Steve
esgaisford
ok so my calculations tell me that i should be charging around $2.50 per votive. do you think that is too high? seems a little high to me. maybe i'm off on my calculations? like how do you figure out the cost per drop of liquid dye? lol...that's almost impossible. NaturallyTru
I do soy/beeswax blend votives. My cost is .82 and I charge $2.25 or a 2 pack for $3.75. Individual votives sell better for me than packs. Most high quality votives here in stores sell for $2.50 or $3.00.Trudi Edited September 28, 2010 by NaturallyTru
esgaisford
ok, i just re-did my calculations....i came up with $0.63/cost and $1.89 to sell them for.....that sounds a little more reasonable! lol
