I found some biodegradable shrink wraps. Not natural but it helps. And I just saw you want the packaging for containers. I guess you don't need shrink wrap for container, oops :)

Believe it or not- cellophane is made from cellulose, which is a pure plant derivative. Its bio-degradable, sustainable, common and relatively inexpensive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellophane

We target earth friendly audience and that was one of things I came across while figuring out packaging.
