nmhoneybear
As if I haven't tried enough vanillas, now my daughter has fallen in love with a candle she sniffed at Kohl's recently. I did a search, but coming up empty. Anyone know who has the dupe for this? TIA
LuminousBoutique
I havent smelled yankee's VF but I like CS Buttercream, alot of people say NG's Buttercream Cupcake is good. I know there are others, I stick to the CS Buttercream because it works for me across the board (candles, B&B, soaps [discolors soap dark brown])

nmhoneybear
Thanks, ladies! I have a sample of CS Buttercream. I will test it out!
Candlebuddy
The best Buttercream I've tested is from Bluegrass, second would be the one from Daystar. Another great frosting scent is Birthday Cake from KY ... I rename it Frosted Vanilla Cupcake.

Have to say, though, that I have never placed an order from Bluegrass. Been hearing a lot about them lately! Looks like I better start making a list. lol
candlemama
If you're looking for a vanilla cake frosting type scent, try Miami Eerie Candle Supply's Sugar Cookie. To my nose, it smells exactly like a tub of vanilla frosting from the store and nothing like cookies (unless you're talking frosted vanilla sugar cookies maybe... ). I love it! Very yummy. It's the only FO I've tried from them so far that I would definitely order again. Wish it was skinsafe.
Candlebuddy
candlemama, I totally agree! I tested it in 6006 at 1 oz. per pound, and I got an excellent cold and hot throw. To me, it smells like Candle Science's discontinued Vanilla Frosting.
Debra Phelps
When I switched to soy, NGs sugar cookie is the best vanilla frosting I have smelled. Yum. Wasn't as good in parrifin. I sell it by the case.
vagabond66
For a kick butt vanilla frosting I mix my own. 50% LS Sweet Vanilla and 50% AH Birthday Cake.

SharonKay
Hi Everyone... I have a question about CS Buttercream. I recieved my eight ounce bottle of buttercream and oob I am not smelling much of a fragrance. Is this normal and does it really bloom once it's in the wax? I will be making some testers tonight and I am going to try it because I love buttercream. All of my other CS fragrances smell out of this world yummy! The only way to be sure is to put it in your wax. I use palm wax and CS Buttercream smells wonderful in it and strong too.
SharonKay
Candybee... Thanks for the input. I didn't get any candles made tonight but I will try the Buttercream tomorrow. I so hope it works in my wax, I use Clarus 3022 70/30 (soy/pariffin).
