Anna
Tonight went to put a container full of wax into the oven, and guess what,I hit the top rack, and knock the jar out of my hand.Spilled the freaking wax in the oven,WHAT A MESS TO CLEAN UP. If my dh builds me a cabinet to put under my work table, could I put my jars in it to cool, instead of my oven? Anna
prairieannie
I've never put a jar in my oven to cool...I use the boxes they come in if I need the space, otherwise I leave them on the table where I made them.
Candle Man
To slowley cool your candles you can build an insulating box.Go to the hardware store and get a sheet of pink insulation foarm board. Measure and mark with a sharpey marker. Cut with a sharp knife. Don't try to cut all the way through in one pass cut in many passes for a smoother cut. Assembel with duct tape on the outside of the foam at the corners. Set the box over you candles to cool slower. If you need any more help just PM me.Hope this helps Candle Man
SatinDucky
Or find one of those foam coolers for 4 or 5 bucks. Though, that may be difficult this time of year :rolleyes2
shell1226
I'm not even allowed near the kitchen with wax. Sorry to hear about your incident. That is a mess.
topofmurrayhill
It's a good thing the oven wasn't lit. You could have been incinerated.Word to the wise - when I pitch molten wax into a lit oven, I'm careful to stand several feet away. Safety first!
