ignitethesenses
Just curious...I saw there was some confusion. I bought up the last 8 or so the grocery store had...and now they've got about 8 more on the shelf. Just wondering if they just happened to still have it and put it out...or if they got more. I guess I could always just ask a manager there lol
Beth-VT
Yes, it's really discontinued. Some stores may still have stock in their back rooms, and some distributors for those same stores may still have stock on hand for a while, but once it's gone, it's gone. sudsnwicks
If your grocery store still has it, you might want to stock up before it suddenly disappears.
Scent Cellar
Don't fret if it's gone... it's so much cheaper to buy it in bulk.
elle110
Don't fret if it's gone... it's so much cheaper to buy it in bulk.Isn't that the truth, I can't believe how much of my hard earned profits I have been giving Red Devil, they did me a huge favor discontinuing, made me get off my butt and find it in bulk
mystical_angel1219
It was REALLY cheap to buy it in bulk until the online suppliers got wind that Red Devil is no more. I cannot believe how the price has been inflated.Oh well, the laws of supply and demand even pertain to lye.

I cannot believe how the price has been inflated.I've noticed this too. The online bulk suppliers used to be cheaper (even including shipping) than what my local hardware store was charging. Now the price has gone up, so that after shipping, per ounce it is the same (or even slightly more) than what I used to pay for it by the can. KMommy
Ok, I am new to B&B. What is Red Devil and what are you guys making with it?
Gypsyjen
Ok, I am new to B&B. What is Red Devil and what are you guys making with it?Red Devil is lye - sodium hydroxide - which is used to make soap. It causes a chemical reaction with oils to turn them into soap.
