cybersix
Hi all, I'm buying some FOs on ebay, I bought some very christmassy.. So I think I'll use them this year, then they will sleep on some shelf at home til next december.. will be they still good? For how long can I keep FOs without they lose their properties?TIASabrina
Scented
They should keep. Just store them in a cool, dark place. There's really no time frame on FOs that I know of. When they start morphing into some kind of funky smell other than what they're supposed to be, then they're going bad.
Candle Man
I keep my Fo at room temp in the dark (light will break down or affect them). I've had some for 3 years and they still look & smell the same but then again I opened some that you could tell went bad they did not smell right. Jordan
I have several oils that are also over three years old, and they are great. I keep mine ina huge cupboard in the dark. I think that helps:)
sudsnwicks
Is the ebay seller selling brand new FOs? If not, they may not last as long as they're supposed to, depending on how old they already are now.
cybersix
she told me only (because I did not ask her!!) that those fos will last at least for a year.
Wilbur
Really is hard to say for sure because you never know just what you are buying unless it is from some one you know.I have a few scents that are 6 yr old and work just fine. I don't think you will get a supplier to say they will last over a yr.Keeping light away from them will help a lot.Wilbur
