LaVida
I wanted to play with these new toys so I put together some quick items to try after work one day. I was determined to use my new sewing machine. (I've never sewn on a machine in my life...*l*)I destroyed my entertainment center because it was a catch all - the TV is in a nice area sitting on my metal file cabinet... so I kept the remnants (2 shelves and the glass door I wanted to try my hand at staining).. with one of the shelves I did this:inside pocket - sloppy because I didn't know what I was doing.wasn't sure it would fit, but it did!my sewing was horrible. It was constructed at night (I'm a morning person) and like I said, I have no idea what I was doing...*l* staples some rope on top and added strip of ribbon because fabric came up too short... added a pretty bow on the side just because. My Laptop Lap Pad... perfect size! I have another pc of shelving so I may make another...

LaVida
Sorry, It's a pen/pencil cup. I should have thrown a pen in it or something. It's sitting here on my desk... I attached a piece of cardboard on the bottom and glued some felt on the bottom before making the "corset"....The 2nd thing is a laptop Lap Pad (the description of what it is, is under the last photo)..... Just sit it on your lap and place your laptop on top (or a meal or something).... It was my first sewing project so....*l*

LaVida
Thank you Texasbrat! I tried...*s*I'll post the Elvis pillow next. My son loves Elvis and MJ... anything before his time (both of our times really) and broadway-esque movies...
