nursenancy Posted January 15, 2009 Share Posted January 15, 2009 I work full time as a nurse and do candles on the side. I sell at craft fairs, farmers markets, home parties in my spare time and just opened a shop. It's really more for a place to make stuff and store all my supplies at this point, though, since I work alot of weekends and can't afford to pay someone to run the shop while I'm working. My wife and I are both retired from regular jobs and now have the pleasure of working more hours than we ever did before (but enjoying it infinitely more, too). The candle business definitely owns me. It seems like it is an almost round the clock thing. Retired? Not hardly when you have a candle business. Work harder and loving it?
