SharonA
What is the best way to store candle chunks? Can you use the plastic shoeboxes?
flutterbye
Plastic shoeboxes would work. I use big ziplock bags, but I also do not scent mine. Not 100% sure but I think ziplock bags are a no if you want to keep scent in??
Candybee
I buy the large ziplock bags from the dollar store and have been storing my chunks in them for years. Some chunks stay in the bag for months. They haven't lost their scent or color at all.I also put the bags in a large box and store in a dark cool place. I use both soy and parrafin pillar blends for making chunks and they both keep well using this method.
TraciS
I used to put them in smaller tubs and just store under the pouring table. But I only had about 5-6 scents that I did chunks for.
Rae
I put my chunks in plastic containers and store them under my pouring table. It works great for me!Rae
SharonA
Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure the plastic would not affect the scent.
OtterAZ
I used to store mine in zip locked bags also. Then my supplier told me that storing scented chunks and/or leftover wax in zip lock bags draws the scent out of the wax.Now I store mine in aluminum foil. Works great for me.However, I have plastic storage containers that I got from the dollar store and store all my votives in them. Doesn't seem to draw the scent out.Wendy
