FO vs EO

My experience with EOs is minimal, but the scents aren't going to last as long as an FO. Try the google feature and going looking for essential oils. There's bound to be some companies out there.

Personally, I've had some FOs work fine as an aromatherapy application. I'm not going to test them against using EOs, since that adds to my expense.

From what I've researched there are a couple of "cons" to using EO's to scent candles:

* Significantly more expensive than FO's

* The true EO scent doesn't often translate through in the burning candle. They often throw off a burning "fuel" type odor.

* The flashpoint of many EO's is lower thus making a potential fire hazard.

I understand the desire to make a truly "natural" type candle, but unfortunately, it isn't always a viable option with EO's. HTH
