Jeana
For those of you who make your own custom blends, do you make up large quantities of the blend in advance? If so, do you weigh it all out dry, then melt it all together, then melt the pre-blended mix again when you are ready to pour in the molds or containers? So far I've been mixing each ingredient each time I pour, which seems like the hard way of doing this. I could really use some ideas on getting a better and quicker system. :smiley2:
Ring of Fire
Just throw the blended amounts in your presto or whatever when you want to make your candles. I am trying to imagine taking a pound of CB and mixing it together with some soy and putting it somewhere for later use. Now that is just making me LMAO. Vicky_CO
I make up my blend in advance but I use a good size melter(160 lb) and just mix it all together with the UV and everything but the FO. I just turn on my melter and pour off what I need.If you have a way to melt larger batches at a time premixing it makes senses. It does not make sense if you only have presto pot or smaller to melt and make your candles with.
Candybee
I weigh my waxes and add them to my meltor to blend them as they melt together. Then I start making candles once they reach the right temp. If I have leftover wax I leave it in the meltor to reheat later when I make candles again.
