Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a good wick book to buy? I want something that explains all the different types of wicking, pros and cons etc, I know lots of sites have wick info but is there a good book about wicks? Thanks in advance !!!:grin2:

I have a Candlewic sheet that explains some things. However, there are so many wicks and so many waxes that you really have to experiment. Do a search on this board for topofmurrayhill and you will find some very interesting info on wicks. He has tested a dozen....or a million (smile)...Donita

Thanks for the suggestions. I know there is tons of info on this site and other sites about wicks and wax I was hoping there was a book to have on hand to look up information too. Like when you get a wax and mold or container look up the best wick size and wick style to start testing with etc. I will check out the posts though, Thanks ;)

I haven't heard of one either, it definitely takes a lot of research to find out information about them all. The Wicks Unlimited, like suggested above, does have a lot of good info to look over though. Let us know if you find anything.

I think your best bet though would be to just search google and take notes along the way. Perhaps search for different areas of wick definitions (like search for "wick diameters" or "wick materials", etc.).

I just looked in my studio and I can't find it.....but several years ago Candlewic sent me a brochure that lists all of their wicks and recommendations. Call and ask them. If the person who answers the phone doesn't know....then ask for Ellyn Daniels and tell her what I told you.

It's always good to know someone with clout! ;) (Meant in a complimentary sort of way, Donita!)
