diamondk
This is my first hurricane that I went by Sharyl55 tutorial. I still have a lot of work to get it right. It isn't cleaned up since I will redo it. Thanks for looking.
SatinDucky
Not bad for a first try. It's hard getting the hang of keeping the picture snug against the mold while it hardens, but you'll get it
sassy906
That is really nice for your first try. Hope you show us your nice one too
sharyl55
With a little practice you'll get it. Be sure to check where the mold seam is when placing your picture. I try to place the picture opposite the mold seam. Good luck on the next one.

Thanks for the advice.
Michi
It looks good to me! especially for a first-nice and shiny.Hey, but what do I know? I'm still too chicken to try this even though I really want to. LOL
Donita
That's great for your first try. I threw my first one out....then the second and third. Then Sharyl and I put out brains together and she suggested some things for me to try..... Sharyl is right....practice some more and you will be a pro in no time. Good luck!!!! blondiee
I think it looks very nice. I'm about to try my 1st one (any day now, really!), but I'm pretty sure I won't be posting any pictures! :smiley2:
sharyl55
And Donita taught me how to frame and position the pictures. Amazing how a little work on the picture can improve the appearance of your picture 'cane.
diamondk
Well my second one came out worst then the first. I need to make 4 of them. At the rate I am going maybe I should have gotten a case of hurricane wax from candlewic. lol
sharyl55
Only suggestions I can think of is check your wax temp., preheat the mold, preheat your spoon/chopsticks, and check your water bath temp. The good news is you can keep melting them down for another try so you really don't lose any wax. Did you add some Micro 180 to your 'cane wax? Are you using the 5055 wax? I will know if it is in my cards tonight when I unmold this latest one. I may be one that shouldn't be doing this. lmao
