candlemaker74
Hey,I was wondering if anyone using 4630 had any reviews to give? I have used 4627 and liked it, just wondering what the differences are between the two...Thanks!
artcwolf
I just started using it, i bought 2 slabs. So far i'm liking it, I like the ability to fine tune the weight by cutting small pieces off to make an even ounce.About the only difference i found between the two is 4627 has 12% fo hold and in a box, the 4630 has 10% fo hold and comes in slab. When i talked to CS about it trying to decide on which one to choose they said roughly the same wax they just refined it to allow to be a slab.I am having the wicking issue, where using 8% and 10% FO not getting a full melt pool like i want in the 4 hour burn. VaBraz
I switched from 4627 to 4630 and I'm glad I did! As Artcwolf said, it's nice to be able to slice off the exact amount of needed wax. I haven't had much of a problem with smoking, but I pour most of my FO's at 6 or 7%--the HT and CT are awesome! However, I did have to test LX, RRD, HTP, CD, and paper core wicks before I finally settled on ECO's--they burn beautifully!!Best wishes to you!! CandleLytes
I use 4630 and HTPs and Eco wicks. Haven't tried J223 but someone in my class said that sometimes it was really hard to wick right.Does J223 not come in a slab?
