ladysj
I don't see a pic. As for the air bubbles did you tap your mold to release them?
Aprilann
I did not tap . I was so hopeful, I hope it at least smells good while burning. wait... I can still burn it, right?

Jumplines come from pouring slow & cool and that allows air bubbles to get trapped in the wax as it solidifies against the side of the mold....haven't used this wax but that's my guess. Aprilann
Thanks Pam!!I will try again tomorrow pouring hotter. It was my intention to pur at that temp. but by the time I puored it from my presto pot into a measuring cup, and the FO and dye, and cleaned up some dye that I spilled that was temp of the wax
SatinDucky
Yup definitely need to pour hotter if you don't want a rustic finish. Same wax I use. For a smooth shiny surface, try around 180. Maybe a tad higher if the room temp or mold is very cold
Aprilann
Thanks for the input!! I'll sure try again tomorrow. Maybe by that time i'll have figured out how to post a picture and I can show before and after shots :smiley2:
Pam W
After I fill my pour pot from the presto, I set my pot in a pan of hot water while mixing in FO, getting my colors right, etc...adjusting the stove temp to get/keep at to the right temp for pouring. grama
Just a note - if you don't have a stove an electric griddle can be a lifesaver;) That is what I use to keep pour pots hot.
