Auntie S
You might want to start with a yellow and add some brown
kittysev04
In My gold candle I used dye labelled gold dye, so I'm not sure how else you'd do it. Auntie S 's sounds good
Stella1952
Do you mean metallic gold or gold-colored?
Glowlite
I got a gold color one time on accident using a liquid Ivory color, Since it was my f-up that caused it don't know the amount of usage. But it might be a good place to start.

Donita
I you are using liquid be careful because as you know it is very concentrated. Gold is a combination of yellow and brown. Sometimes to "warm" the gold I will add a speck of red. Here is a link to a very basic color chart and on the left you can click on the "color wheel" and see what makes what. http://www.cierracandles.com/color_mixing.aspxand here is one that is a little more complicated.http://www.ehow.com/how_2100652_understand-color-theory-pigments.htmlHope this helps. Tara
I just did this today with some liquid colors. I started with yellow(8 drops) and and just a tad of brown. I made sure my yellow was nice and bright before adding the brown though. HTH
