I have a book on some ways to make more decorative candles. Some say to use Microcrsystalline Hard. What exactly is it for & where can you buy it?

In My gold candle I used dye labelled gold dye, so I'm not sure how else you'd do it. Auntie S 's sounds good

I made the purple one first, so that's why i said that. I've learned about the filling of the top, and yes, it was metal. I've actually got 2 diff. wax slabs. One was in a pillar beginner kit, so it probably is pillar. I don't know about the triangle one though. I'll have to check next time. I haven't burned it yet, so I'm not sure.

purple candle was my first using real candle making techniques. I tried to make it lavender, but being unexperienced, made it dark dark purple. didn't fill crater very well either, but it was my first candle. Big pictures.

back to you on that, label says premium wax. not sure what that means.

Tilted triangle was by tilting mold for first color, as shown. Then straighten when pouring second layer. Pictures are big sorry. Makes a tilted Candle!

That was a little big, sorry. This next one is tilted. I used a pentagon pyramid mold (or somethinglike that). I'm not sure what wax I used, I'm not an expert. It was a big slab at michaels, basic, $25.

The pink one is iced, it was rather basic. We did this one as a troop. We used a taper instead of a wick, and a salt container for a mold. Crayons for dye. Don't use neon, they don't melt well (that's what the dark pink stripes on the side are. Unwrap over a sink, water will be flowing out.

I am working on the Artistic Crafts badge for cadette scouts. I'm supposed to show some of my creations online, so here goes... I've made quite a few candles, here's a picture of some of my favorites.

I made a gold candle, but not metallicy gold. I used a dye block, though.
