HyggeLys
I've just came across a website that mentioned using a 1/2 a bamboo "trunk" which is sanded, stained and then filled with wax for container candles. I immediately got very excited as I have two turned wooden bowls which would look fantastic if used for container candles....only I'm very sceptical about the wood/candles mix... Has anyone got any knowledge on this topic or know if it is possible to make wooden bowls safe to use for containers? TIA J

Vio
As a consumer, I would never burn a candle in any container that was flamable.

racolvin
Hey, I saw Martha Stewart do it ... poured the wax right into a hollowed out bamboo piece. If Martha does it, it must be correct
2rottndogs
That might explain why the fire department is constantly being called to Martha's house in Northeast Harbor, Maine.... those damn bamboo candles!Kim
