maryann
which part the whites or the yolk? Also which part of the egg makes cakes & cookie rise ??This recipe you bake so hopefully that takes care of the bacteria aspect.
RobinInOR
The whites can be used in facials (albumen, tightening), the yolks in shampoos and conditioners (vitamins, protein). The yolks also can act as an emulsifier holding together water and oil ingredients.

Hope someone can help! TIA:)you sound like me.. I just modified the old bath cookie recipe... the egg it in was only used as a binder in order to bake it.. but the cooking of the protiens is what made the old one so nasty and gloppy.. i finally got it down without eggs. maryann
HEY that's what I'm trying to figure out!! That's too funny. Pulled the recipe off the net and tried along time ago. I posted to the old forum, and someone called it a folklore. So I decided to one day pull out the recipe and figure it out. When I used it (I tested it in my kitchen sink) stuff once it "broke down" would float on the top of the water- disgusting so that's what I'm trying to eliminate. I'm assuming sense you eliminated the egg you didn't bake it. SO your saying that the egg just should not be used that's what the nasty gloppy part is from? TIA

As soon as I saw that bath cookie recipe I knew it was crap:D eggs baked in there.. they bind it all together and it wont dissolve completely..dont bake it air dry, you could bake at low temp to DRY I suppose.. you still wont get a baked appearance... so I tinted it to make it look more like a cookie.. the ned reseult I got was similar to the OLD bath cubes.. remember those? Not quite as hard though..yet they may get harder they set.. try something else to be a binder... you have to have something to hold it together like the egg did...the best consistancy pre dry should be like that of wet sand..any drier and it wont shape , wetter and it will crumble later when you touch it. the_amber_woods
I made those bath cookies once.... PURE MYTH if you ask me... waste of time and good Pink Sugar FO!
KristinesShower
I have tried these before too and it is like throwing bread into your bath. It doesn't seem to dissolve and just floats around.
maryann
That's why I was asking about the egg, wondering if their was one part that could be left out so as to not have that stuff floating on the top. The rest of the ingredients is "normal".
