Dana Mae
Since I've decided to buy my supplies instead of a kit, I really like the look of an 8oz jar instead of the metal tins that the kit I was going to buy came with.Is there a reason that tins would be in a kit? Less expensive or easier?I'd really prefer a jar container. Thanks again for the advice,Dana
Gdawg
If I had to guess I would guess the tins are less expensive and easier to ship with a kit. If you like jars though and that is what you will be making primarily then I would start out with the jars so when you make and test you are doing it from the get go. kandlekrazy
My original kit came with both, but they use tins more often because the shipping being higher with glass and breakage issues...has nothing to do with making the actual candle. Stella1952
Tins dent but they don't break. They are lighter to ship and generally easier to wick.Glass is prettier (IMHO) and offers many sizes, shapes from which to choose. It's fragile, often hard to wick and adds a lot of weight to the product.I use both.
