dpowell
Does anyone know where to get a mold for these? I've been looking for days with no luck. Here is what it looks like http://www.genwax.com/candles/___0___8509.htmIf not this specific mold, maybe just a 3" x 9" fluted pillar mold. Thanks in advance. ChrisR
Candle Chem has about the biggest supply of fluted molds, but not a 9" one.http://www.candlechem.com/tin_fluted.htm
perkyaim99
Maybe you could contact Genwax directly and see if they have any of those molds for sale or even ask who their vender is. When I lived in So Cal I would buy their old molds $.75-$1 a piece. Very unique candle!
dpowell
Thank you for the replies. I did contact Genwax for a few questions about the candles. I may just get the candles from them in the end. It seems that finding a 9" fluted mold is not going to be easy.I will contact them again regarding the molds like you suggested.
Chickie1st
It looks like a Polycarbonate Mold to me.Very similar to the step one here: http://shop.candlesandsupplies.com/candles/category.asp?catalog%5Fname=Candles&category%5Fname=Novelty+Molds&Page=
dpowell
Actually it is fluted. I have seen one candle in person. The catch of it is that in the fluted curved parts it is hollow.
dpowell
Ok, I got a response back. It looks like they use a machine for those so I'll just have to order these candles from them. Thank you for the help everyone.

Unfortunately, these candles are not made in a mold, they are extruded therefore, it is made with a die. We only have one and we can not sell it off. kandlekrazy
GenWax sells the molds...look in candle making supplies, then molds and you'll see the 3" x 9" fluted.
dpowell
The biggest fluted round mold I see there is a 3" x 6.5"It wouldn't have the holes in it, but I would be fine with a 3" x 9" fluted I think.
kandlekrazy
Yes, you are right...dug mine out and it is 6.5" tall, I thought it was taller...guess I should start making pillars, then I'd know what I have in molds! I knew I bought it at Gen Wax.
Flame-Maker
Let me save you a whole bunch of time and effort. My client in Las Vegas was purchasing candles of this type from another supplier. When they came to me to begin supplying candles to them, I spent 3-4 weeks searching and searching for a mold for them. They don't exist. It is a specific product that Genwax developed. I actually bought 6 of them from Genwax with the intention of trying to make a mold from them, the the reality of the engineering nightmare it was going to be hit me like a brick. Fortunately I talked my client out of that style!! WHEW!!Hope this helps ya a bit!Greg
