shine
I've been pouring candles all day. After removing the wick bars, I noticed that 2 of my candles wicks are off center:cry2: . Is there any way to fix an off centered wick after a candle has set up?TIA,Shine
ah-soy
melt it back down and re-center
shine
Does losing the wax on your wick after remelting the candle affect the burn? Thanks for your help.Shine
ah-soy
Before you re-center, dip the wick in the wax and it's primed to go...

Sharon in KY
WAIT... Poke a hole with a stick, I use the end of my spoons, around the wick. Then pull the wick a little till it's straight, not too hard or it may pull out of tab. Poke hole where the center should be. Then add a little melted wax to level off. ChrisR
I poke around my wick also to recenter it if it gets out of whack, but just use my heat gun on the top to fill in the holes!!
SoyCandleQueen
I have a problem getting my wicks exactly on center in my 8 oz. jelly jars. BC has that wick centering tool. Would anyone recommend that I purchase this? At least that would be one thing I wouldn't have to worry about.Dawn
ChrisR
I use mine all the time, they do work great!!
KarenOH
Last month I received 2 of the wick centering tools as a gift. Used one for the first time this past weekend and I am in love with this sucker!!Can't believe after 11 yrs of candle making I never thought to buy one, definitely worth the investment. SoyCandleQueen
Cool. I will be putting that on my list of things to buy. Wicking is the only part of this I actually don't like. That, and worrying about blowing up my kitchen. Thanks for the replies.Dawn
R.S.
Chopsticks work great for this! That's what I use.
kandlekrazy
You might want to try the EZ setter also. It centers the wick in the bottom of the container and then I use the wick centering tool on top. It's soooo easy with these tools.
