I thought about it. They have an specific instruction saying that they should be used like ornaments ONLY.Here in Mexico, sometimes we like to look at them and not use them as "candles". They were staggered heights. When we got them home, I noticed that the candle in them was only at the very top of the holders, maybe one inch, and the rest inside was empty. They were made that way--I don't know if I can describe them here, may have to just take a picture and post. I probably would not have burned them anyway because I never would have found a replacement--but that probably explains why they were meant to look like there were candles in them. Might be, but instructions aren't always read. People often think there's nothing to a candle, flame hits wax and ta da ... and leave the decorations on. They are pretty.
